I think a lot of us mylotters may think of our "friends" as "family". That got me to thinking of this song www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBpYgpF1bqQ We Are Family. Then that got me to thinking about one time when the song first came out. We went to see some of our relatives in another state. We went to the grocery store and I had my cousin's child in the cart I had and the store had their speakers on and this song came on the speaker. My cousin's child and I were singing to the words of this song! She was only 8 or 9 years old at the time. Isn't it funny how songs can jog your memory to things you've done that you have forgotten about?

Well i love hearing songs from old Hindi movies of 60's, while hearing them with closed eyes, i go back feel as if i am watching the scene, i get involved emotionally; but present day songs look like noise to me rather.

I know Professor2010, the music now days is just "noise". When people turn their music up loud, all you hear is the "boom, boom, boom." Thanks for responding!

Oh, my gosh that brings back another memory. We had an old beat up Chevy car that you had to hold the driver's door shut while you were driving it and it was a stick shift http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5VnNlkAtk0

I have not thought of that song "We are Family" in like forever! Sister Sledge and that song was big in 1979! I remember the Pittsburgh Pirates used the song "WE are family" as their theme song that year! It reminds of the Pirates yellow and black uniforms and striped hats that year and the great Willie Stargal!

Songs are real source of having good memories, thoughts and good ideas about a lot of things. So the song mentioned here in the post is notable and has the ability to listen again and again.

Hi ! Songs brings back good memory . We associate some songs with some issues of our life. Sometimes it brings a smile and sometimes a tears. Songs make us ponder for our life and how we lived with it.

It sure is. I still associate what happened to me when I hear songs from the sixties. In fact, I make the mistake that thinking the songs were bad, but really they were innocent about teenage love and yet I wish the association was not there. I did live a boring life then.

There a re a lot of songs that we associate with some happy moments and sad moments of our lives. Just hearing one song that I loved, it would make me remember the person whom I always associate the song with, the time when that song was popular and a lot of other memories.

Oh yes I love listening to old songs. The Beatles are still my favorite. I was in 7th grade when they came to the US and appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. I still remember those days like they were yesterday.
