Basel 2 v Tottenham 2

Basel claimed another English scalp when they knocked Tottenham out of the Europa League. Both legs ended 2-2 and qualification was left to the penalty shoot out where the Swiss side emerge victorious. As for Tottenham, this is third game in a row that they have to come from behind to draw the game at 2-2.

It is very likely that Tottengam will again play i - It is very likely that Tottengam will again play in Europa League next season.
It is unlucky for Tottenham to lose by penalties. AVB has guided the team well since he took charge but they may need to buy new players in the summer especially forwards to get the goals. I think Tottengam will again play in Europa League next season - I think they can only be the fifth team in the final English Premier League table.

It is always painful for any team to lose on penalty shoot out. As for Tottenham, they are still in the fight for the Champions League spot. While they are not in the best of form, it would be ridiculous to rule them out totally.
