Yes i am so happy right now. I just wanted to share my joy basically as i sold my first article on iWriter. I wrote it, it got approved by the requester and i made $2.50. I feel so good simply for the fact that i did a good job with a 5Star rating but also for the fact that it is possible. It can be done, money can be made writing articles, and its awesome considering all the possibilities in revenue sharing and putting your articles for sale at even higher prices. The question i have is to the existing Article Writers that are also mylot members: Do you save the articles you sell or not? I mean i understand that since i sold the article the rights for the article now belong to the person that bought it. But is there a reason to save my articles on my computer? What do you do?

Hello That's good work done by you. You have started well with selling your first article and got good amount too. About storing article, yes I do sell my articles and I always used to store it on my computer. Yes we are selling them with rights, but I used to store it just for reference and to know that how much I have worked. It can be helpful to us for our future article as reference.

Thanks. It was for 500 words, so i guess it is a good amount. Although i think im gonna end up writing articles for a few revenue sharing sites, you know do it for a couple of months and post 2-4 articles a day and end up pulling in revenue from many sites without really doing anything much. ;)

And of course be on the lookout at iWriter for any requests for articles about things a know a thing or two about. Because from the moment you accept an article you have 3 hours to write it. And if i try to write about things i know nothing about, it would take me probably all 3 of those articles and also a problem is what kind of article i would produce. You know.

*CORRECTION: "it would take me probably all 3 of those *HOURS* and also a problem is" I made a mistake in my previous comment...

All the articles I have done for 2 years are saved on my desktop however, I don't post them on the net as my own out of courtesy to my employer who has already paid me for my time and efforts. Whenever, I write an article similar to the keywords of my previous articles, I use them as reference. Congratulations for getting approved in iWriter. I suppose it is the highest paying site for article writers. I did a few orders last year but I simply don't have enough time. I am not so much into article writing nowadays, more on research work which pays better.

Right now the trend is for Infographics which can provide information and data in a fun way with all those graphics and statistics that make it interesting. I am not a graphic artist so I do the research mostly for statistics, images, graphs and info related to the keyword provided by the client. The research consumes an awful lot of time but it pays well enough.

So am i allowed to use my article as reference? Assuming the person i sold it to posts it without altering it too much..?? I can't say iWriter is the best paying article writing site. Because i wouldnt know, its the first site of it's kind i ever joined. Although i plan on joining more in the days to come. What is this research work that you speak of? :P Thanks for answering, i appreciate it. :)

I have came across the people here who write about selling articles, or writing for the websites, and earn money. I have also joined a website online, which pays good money for writing good articles, but this is only for the Indian origin people. I have wrote few articles there, and I am hoping to come others from me very soon. I am exploring my writing skills, and I am a firm believer of the thought that I will become very good in writing the good things. Congratulations to you and thanks for sharing.

I have joined the sites like the triond etc but this site pays more. It is a article writing website and of course the language is English, because it has more value. I like your second idea only if I could make the website of my own. I know that there are people who make it. I have a little knowledge in this.

I have read about Triond and came to the conclusion that it's not such a good site. Squidoo and hubpages looks better. But i dont belong to any of these sites, yet. Which site pays more that you say you write for? Me too i dont have knowledge of making my own website. But i will...

I take assignments from an online writing site. I was so happy the first time I submitted an article and it was approved, even if it cost only a little over a dollar. I do save the articles that I write. I might not own the rights to it anymore, but I wrote it, and that fact alone is reason enough for me to keep it. Someday, I might want to go back and read through them just to get inspiration or to see the progress I've made over time.

You make a good point cherry. I decided i will be saving articles i sold, just for this reason to be able to check on my progress... Thanks... :)

I write for iWriter too but I didn't bother saving the articles since I can't publish them under my own name anyway. But if you're into saving the articles you wrote for personal purposes like making it a part of your portfolio, you're free to do that :)

Actually what i was thinking is when i end up having written a lot of articles and for example have 5 articles in one category. I can take those 5 articles and create 1 new original article out of those 5. And then put it up for sale or on a revenue sharing site. Im just basically thinking how i can get the most out of each article i write, without endangering my accounts anywhere, without breaking any rules. Thanks for the response. :)
