Hello to all of my myLot friends.
I hardly ever get involved with political things, but this was priceless!!!
I was browsing YouTube and came across a video. This video was so funny that I had to share it on my Facebook page.
North Korea released a video about how Americans live today. You really ought to watch this!!!
Talk about propaganda! Tell me what you think...

It's funny, but it's very, very sad also. North Koreans might have an idea that this is not the way it is, but they have not way of knowing for sure. Lies and propaganda are all they know. You're too young to remember, but the USSR was the same way. Their people were told that Americans were starving and doing without basic necessities like clean water. The only "truth" the people knew were the lies the government published in its newspaper. There were no other papers to read.
It's a warning, too. Our government is feeding lies to our people right now. Just how much is true and how much isn't, we don't know. That's a frightening and dangerous place to be.

Yes the USSR used to like showing American movies but they were movies like Scarface or The Godfather, movies that showed what typical life in America was like.

Maybe. But I'm talking about back in the Cold War. The people of the USSR had no idea of what the rest of the world was like because the Communist government lied to them. They printed in their propaganda paper that they called "newspaper" that Americans were starving, that our land wouldn't grow food and that we didn't have enough clothing or housing to stay warm.
I'm not talking about movies, I'm talking about real life.

I was thinking that as much as N.K. hates us, why even bother filming this, or airing this?
Maybe the people of N.K. need to be told that they are not alone in their poor condition and that we have it really bad here too.
Whatever the reason for this, I believe it is a tool to get the people to stay in N.K. and not try to escape, because there is really no where to go that is any better...

Wow! That is hilarious! I love how at the end they pretend that north korea was helping the people to make it seem like they are the 'good guys'. Seems a bit ironic that they would feed people and then go to war with them though, doesn't it? :P
That is just too funny.

Yeah I have been trying to figure out how they keep snow frozen after they heat it up....
It is just sad for sure...they hate us because they hate themselves and their situation...

This young chubby leader like to tell all North Korean the whole world especially South Korea are conspiring with American trying to terminate them through state control media and broadcasting stations. The population really believe wholly without any doubt. There is no YouTube, Facebook, Mylot, High5, or any social networking site there for North Korean to find out his propaganda lies through outside friends and relatives. All internet network and media are state owned and control tightly. Even the homeless in US are being called the great enemy of North Korean people by this despot.

Making US up as a bogey man is quite a normal international practice in many authoritarian society rule by despot and Islamic fundamentalist regime. Those rulers understand that they need to continue to keep their population with an under-seized mentality and fear of outside attack to keep them in line, so that the ruler can consolidate his power within his civilian subjects and military brass indefinitely. If the homeless in US eat more than those hungry mouth in North Korea, they will become a national security threat for this chubby despot since no one is supposed to eat more without first obtain his permission.

I am sorry lampar, but I can no longer allow you to slander the great nation of North Korea. Look at all the wonderful things that came out of this GREAT country, hundreds and hundreds of refugees!
Really this country is great to the homeless... there are MANY places to eat, and places to live, and so forth. I just wish that Kim Jong Un could do this for his people, but it seems to me that he is more interested in nuking everyone...

The homeless are a threat because they are getting to eat more than their own people...

They must have shot that in Detroit.
I heard that the Soviets thought the same thing until someone got a video of the television show Dallas and then questions started to be asked.

I haven't been to Detroit other than at the airport. What European city is Detroit disguised as?

Maybe in some metro area for sure!
I lived in Denver, and there were homeless that lived right out in the open...the same in Portland. I saw guys living right on the courthouse steps!
For some people it is this bad, but not to the point of eating birds, and drinking coffee made of snow...

This is ridiculous. If you look for places where there is writing on buildings and such many of the words or names are not in English. Most of the people look lie Eastern Europeans, not Americans. And why does American disguise itis cities as Europen? To fool North Korean missile guidance systems?
I didn't realize my is worse than the average Americans. I have no snow to make coffee and I have no North Korean coffee beans. I'm still waiting for my Red Cross tent, made with North Koran materials. Until then I guess I will have to live in my nice warm house and drink Columbian coffee made with well water. (Yes some Americans actually drink water that comes out of the ground.) When will my roof blow off so I can lead a normal American life.
Oh well screw it. I'll eat my bird today instead of waiting until Tuesday.
Yummy.

One of these days N.K. will be happy about the sanctions that are heavy on them. They might be in a better place then they gave us here!
To all of those people who have a problem with bird eating...let me remind you that thanks giving is just a few months away!
And further more, I recommend the white snow over the yellow...yummy!

I kind of disagree with the first person who responded. How are we to know if they are just "showing off"? I would take any kind of nuclear arms threat as what it is - a threat. We will be regretting it in the future if we say that it's not going to happen. Who knows? With all of the histories of terrorist attacks and war initiations, I wouldn't take something like that for granted. I cant' watch your video unfortunately. My details on the North Korea situation are kind of fuzzy - I don't know everything. Originally I thought they were targeting South Korea, but now I am hearing the U.S. is the target. Can nuclear weapons really travel over 6,000 miles?

Some can, yes. They're saying that North Korea doesn't have that kind of reach, though, and I believe them. Korea isn't exactly a technologically developed country.
Right now, they're saying that Japan is the first target. There are a lot of interceptors in place, though.

Well, this video is not about attacking America. It is about the lies N.K. tells their people about how we live here in America.
Check it out...if you are American, you will get a kick out of it...lol

Yea, it sad. Even more so when you listen to the defectors from N. Korea speak of the cannibalism and daily executions taking place there.

I really like the fact that no matter what happens in their country, they still find time to mess with us.
These kind of people make me sick...
This is sad news indeed then if that craziness is going on.

They are not so far off are they - I thought it was very accurate...
We all know that Americans are nothing but Bird eating, coffee drinking homeless folk

And we all drive foreign cars (made in North Korea?) and make our cities look like European ones. I'll soon be moving to North Korea for a fresh supply of birds.

As funny as this is, our countries reputation is at stake here!
Anyway, I just love stuff like this...a poke here, a pinch there...
For the most part, all Americans are just as they say here in this video. Pretty accurate.
If our economy does not get any better than this video will be "true-to-life"!
BTW, I like birds... Yummy!

In respect, this is not about them wanting to nuke us or anything like that, rather about a video where they are saying that every American is homeless, and drinks snow as coffee, and eats birds.
I was just trying to show that since I really do not like to get into the political side of the countries, I still see the humor that is North Korea. They must have been the ones to shoot this, and are trying to make their people believe that we are poor, and run down.
It may be a way to make the people of North Korea feel better about their poor situation. Seeing that the NK government do not care about their own people, this may be a stretch.
