A terrible night!

Two nights ago, I started having pain to a gingiva, right near the spot where two months ago, I was taken off a tooth.
At the beginning I have not given it much thought, and in the evening I took a simple anti-inflammatory.
But suddenly at 3.30 am in the night, I suddenly woke up and the pain had become unbearable. My cheek was very swollen.
At that point I took a painkiller and an antibiotic, but nothing to do.
Up all night, I just could not sleep from the pain!
In the morning my mother was still asleep, I said to her: "You sleep well, now I'm going to the emergency room at the hospital dental practice." My mother told me that she would accompany me.
Upon reaching the hospital, I was visited in the specific department, but the doctor patted me on each tooth, did not find any abnormality. He said that it was an abscess.
I was booked to do another visit on April 22 and how to care told me to finish the box of antibiotic and, if the pain persists, take occasionally also anti-inflammatory.
After that I bought and I assumed the anti-inflammatory prescribed by them, passed an hour the pain dropped dramatically, and with the passage of time, even with the help of antibiotics, the swelling that I had come, he began to return to normal.
At this point, I do not know if I will make this visit, however, I have to say that I have literally spent a terrible night!

Well, the pain was unbearable. Fortunately, the anti-inflammatory and antibiotic which to me, were administered, they have worked well.
I, for my teeth, I always keep the utmost care, wash them after every meal. Maybe I could do even better, sometimes doing the rinses with mouthwash.

telling you right now kiddo, you better go back and get it taken care of. just because its better now dont mean to forget it when down the road in time it will get bad again! bad teeth can kill you from infection and works on your heart. we dont want to lose you so go back when the time comes.

what is the reason why your tooth has abscess? my sister has the same case as well. but hers was not aching but she observed that her cheeks were swelling. since she have a false teeth, she removed it because she was afraid that it was the reason why her two teeth were swollen. it was the teeth where the brace where attached for the false teeth not to fall or to hold on. and she told me that i will accompany her to her dentist.
good for you that your mother accompanied you to the dental office. i guess your mother worried about you for that. i hope it will be okay :) take care

Well, two months ago, to me it was a tooth removed. Maybe some residue or perhaps a bacterium came in and caused me such abscess. But to me, contrary to your sister, did much pain, so much that I can not even sleep!

I feel sorry for your suffering and I did experience that with a gum problem due to body heat or when I consume some heaty food .
At last you had your painful tooth treated but it is still a wise move to go for the coming appointment just to make sure everything is alright .

Hope you are feeling better than before.
It is so important to be mindful of oral hygiene and I can understand what you had undergone when your tooth removal site was infected. I think you should visit that dentist of yours to have him take a look and to see if that infection is his really fault. At the same time, you may want to have a clean up which involves a bit of scaling and polishing.

Ouch! Toothache is my only kryptonite from being talkative. Hehe! But good to know that it's been better now. If medication sometimes doesn't work, try home remedies first. Like hot or cold compress, eating hot or cold, soft ones, just try to ease out the pain. Oh don't forget the follow up check up. Good luck! :)

In fact, the first thing I did was to go directly to the hospital emergency ward, dental. They gave me an anti-inflammatory and antibiotic which has worked
