It's hard to cash out $10 by the end of the month. =(

I'm just starting here and I'm quite enjoying the discussions I've read and answered, but I don't think I can cash out even the minimum $10 every end of the month, I read one discussion that for you to get $1, you have to post at least 200 discussion/responses. So if the minimum is $10, I have to at least post 2000 discussions and responses?? I would like to have part-time work, like typing jobs or copy/paste. I have that but the projects are limited so the pay is also small, but I'm not complaining,. I just want suggestions and tips. This is my first discussion and I think this will take me years to cash out.. =/

I am late coming to this discussion, but I am certain you have been given some accurate information to correct your misunderstanding about earning here. You will earn more and more as you are here longer. I have no active referrals. I do not post a lot of discussions. I can cash out every month for at least $10 if I do the necessary things. I do not always get to because I work full time and also do several other sites and do freelance writing. With very little effort I do cash out for around $15-$18 every other month. I honestly am here for fun, and for networking about other sites. I am looking through this discussion, and my advice to you at this moment is to go to each and every response and leave a meaningful comment. Something more than "Thank you" or "I agree". Just doing that you will be pleasantly surprised at your earning. When you reach 100 posts you will have a star. It can be as high as a 10, colored blue. The higher the number on your star, the better you will earn. It is great that you are enjoying the discussions you read, that will do a lot for how you earn on here. You earn for your discussion once when you post it, but you earn more for each comment. You also earn for responding to discussions by others. You earn for what you do. I have been here for six or seven years. The site started in the Spring of 2006, and I started November 14, 2006. It is worth sticking around for.

Where I do articles is a US site only, and you must write a good example in English to get rated and work. However there may be others here who can tell you more. I think Microworkers accepts international participation, and it has lots of small tasks and short articles to write.

False information. There is no definite number of responses to earn $1 and we are not paid by posting discussion/topic alone. Participation here in mylot is paid by the quality and not by quantity. I suggest that you better read the FAQ's for a better understanding Welcome to mylot and enjoy check the links http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx FAQs - Earnings & Payment Information http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq6.aspx

Well then, I'm sorry for the wrong information I've read in one of the discussions. =) I am really not into that thing, I just wanted to know if that was true. And I've read everything about myLot a lot of times already. =) Just wanted to ask if how many times have you cash out already? Your participating since? Cause I see that you already have a lot of participation here. Thank you! =)

Dear KayeCee15, there is no such algorithm that only 200 discussion can give you $1, some time with 100 discussion also you can earn $1 but it should be quality reply to the discussion, I want to suggest one thing, if you want to do part time in mylot then just spend 30 minutes everyday and response the discussion you like and do not worry about the money and move on, because if you check your earnings on daily basis then you will be in frustration to work and respond more, also if you want quick cash out then complete the task given by other members to reach minimum payout of $10 this month end.

yeah, I do understand y'all. I don't really mind answering or posting discussions and not really in a hurry to cash out or anything, but sometimes if I look at it, I feel like its not going to work with me. Anyways, I'm just new into this, =) No negativity with my discussion. Thanks by the way! =)

Mylot is a good site but you need to me quite active if you want to make money here. HHave you ever considered other online money making methods? In my opinion it is a mistake to come to mylot just to earn money as there is more to it than that. You can make friends, learn from them, share things with them and discuss your problems and worries. I suggest you try to have fun by being participative here, and then you will see that the money will start to come alone! Other than that have you ever considered taking part in surveys or article writing to make more money online? Let me know maybe I can help.

I agree with your opinion. I am enjoying myself here. Really. =) I feel like I have a lot of friends already. Hihi... I am into offline typing job but the project is limited at this time, I am not sure if I can do article writing because I'm not really good at writing, and surveys? I don't think so, I don't think highly of myself that I can do this and that, I'm still looking for part-time job online, like typing projects especially, data entries, and the like,. =)

well if you don't have a lot of referrals then its really hard to cash out every month. I also heard that its also base on the content of your post, so at least its not only on what you type in here. besides money is really hard to earn we have to work hard on every cents. I know a lot of sites online but I keep coming back here because it is so much easier here. mylot i s just a hobby for me, the good thing is I can also earn from it. but I dont think It could cover the money i need every month.

I know money is hard to earn, and I do understand that I need to work hard if I want to get it. This is also a hobby of mine since I'm into reading articles that interests me, and I just want some extra money for saving up, so I'm not really into hurrying things up. My discussion wasn't for the negative side. =) Thanks by the way. It's fun here in myLot. A lot of discussions and opinions, I like to read them all. =) My pastime.

Go into writing articles. There are many sites that pay you for your content based on the traffic to your articles. $10 is just a matter of a few hours if you have a lot of popular articles. It takes effort and some flair. Cheers

I used to reach the payout each month when I had a lot more time to spare. It is hard to do, though, and quite time consuming. Read MyLot's guidelines and FAQ for more information on how your posts are "priced" out. Each post will be worth something different from some crazy algorithm and the quality of your posts matter - not just the quantity. Best of luck to you. I prefer using MyLot for "fun" and letting it add up that way - rather than a money making tooL. After all, what is $10? Lunch for a day? A scratch-off? It certainly doesn't seem worth spending grueling hours and hours a day on any website (no offense MyLot or any other online earning programs). You could get a job in real life and work 1 hour a month and make the same. But MyLot is awesome for other reasons... You can vent about your life, get questions to answers, gain other perspectives...It doesn't just have to be about the moneY (although it's a nice bonus when it does accumulate). Best wishes!

in order to earn here, you ned to be active and post quality, as that is what mylot is looking for. As far as what you heard or read, it is not correct, as mylot uses an algorithm and no one knows what the algorithm entails, as it is a complete secret. You just need to come in here everyday, and post quality, and you will earn the mini8mum in no time. I don't get the payout every month but it isn't about the money anyway, as it is about having fun, and enjoying ourselves, while learning and earning at the same time. i don't come in here everyday, either, but I do come in as much as I can and do what I can while I am here. I just come in here, have fun, and not worry about my earnings, and I end up getting the minimum in no time, and sooner than I thought I would. Just sit back and relax, and have fun, and watch your earnings soar. Take care, and have a very good day.

Welcome to mylot. You seem to be misled, just keep working, post good discussions, respond to discussions, my lot pays for your efforts and time spent, no one knows how it pays. BEST OF LUCK.

You may not reach the minimum amount $10 this month, but what you have earned will be carry over the next month, so all your hard work still worth it. What important here is you enjoy the discussions and we also learn from it. Being able to communicate to to people around the world is already a benefit. The earning potential is just a plus factor. And by the way, I disagree that you have to post 200 to reach $1, just keep posting and you will see. It takes less posts actually. Well, just keep your post long and with quality and you will surely find it easier to reach the minimum cashout. Just enjoy and keep posting and you one day you will just be surprised that you already reached it. Good luck, have a good day, and happy myLotting!

So we'll I suggest you that make this as your hobby and not a source of your living. It is hard to reach your responses and discussion to 200 each. But if you enjoy it, you become unconscious that you did 2000 discussion and comments in a weeks. $10 is small so it is better to find a real job I think.

Hi Kaycee, Yes it is really hard to cash out 10 dollars by the end of the month. But do not give up that easily, it takes time and patience before you can reach your goal... I have cashed out a couple of times when my schedule was not still hectic and I was able to do it by commenting to different discussions particularly to those that I can relate with. Also, try to make your own discussions and allow your mylot friends to comment on them. Now that I am done with school, I can see myself getting back to my favorite online websites that pay. I feel goldbrick when I am not doing anything productive especially now that I am jobless and still dependent on my parents. I am in dire need of money to support my medical needs.

There is no way that you have to post 2000 discussions and responses to make 10 dollars. Its alot less then that. Just post discussions and answer everyone who replies to you. If you are that interested in making the 10 dollars every month just be willing to put the time in everyday. If you work at it for a couple of hours a day you can do it. Good luck and happy mylotting.

Hi KayeCee! Even though I have a permanent job and other online activities, I can still mange to reach payout on a monthly basis. You need to be active and make quality posts. Similarly, like what our friends state herein, the number of post you made is not the basis of you income but the quality. Have a nice day!

I don't believe so, since i get my minimum pay or even more in my goal month... This is really up to you, if you are really committed and give quality content regardless if it's a posted discussion or a reply to a discussion. sure, you do get your minimum pay goal.

at first it will be very difficult to get 10$ payout, somehow you will lose your hope if ever you will be able to get it. and do all the things to be able to get the amount. but you know as time goes by, just a little perseverance you will be able to get the formula, on how to get it. like being more participative to the discussion, specially if it is your discussion, like commenting back to your responders. I have compared days of that I will make discussion and I will just respond and comment back to a discussion, as comparison (only my observation and no scientific proof. hehehe) I noticed that I earn more if I have made even a single discussion in a day and comment to my responders. there are many ways, if you can just establish on how you manage your mylotting time.

That was also my problem when I first got into myLot, that I couldn't reach the minimum amount needed for cashout. But when I started forgetting about the money and enjoying the discussions, I was surprised by the progress I was making. I used to look at myLot as a money making opportunity alone, but now I look at it as an opportunity to learn and have fun. The money is just a bonus.
