Are you a "camerawhore"

Philippines

I have some friends in facebook that seems to be considered as others called camerawhore. These are those that likes to take photos of themselves and post it in facebook. Some took photos of them in every move. For example, they buy a new dress, they will take as many photos as they can and upload it in facebook. They even created an individual album for it. How about you mylotters, no offense meant, do you consider yourself as "camerawhore". what can you say about those who are considered to be camerawhores?

I might be in a good mood and have what I call a photoshoot with myself but to actually take pictures of myself everyday and post them. To me, thats a bit much. It's almost like you are in need of attention or something. I do however know a bunch of people who take pictures every waking 'cute moment' they might have. If I go on my facebook page right now, there are pictures of people who even went as far as changing outfits and keeping their same pose..I just thank god that the duckface movement is over...

Yes, there are some out there that takes lots of photos even just changing outfits. I really don't know their reason. If they just want to get attention ot that is how they used tobe.

I am not a camerawhore, because I would rather be the one behind the camera and take the pictures than have my own picture taken. I find self-taken pictures, most of it anyway, to be so tacky.

Hi, Not me, I don't like to see my face on camera, and I don't like it more published on a social site. Maybe, I'm camera shy if it can be called that way. I am more interested in my security even if I am invisible to most, I still like to be anonymous if I can.

I think you are right, you are just trying to make yourself a bit private than others. These "camerawhores" used to post many photos of them and when others invade their privacy, they will complain and cry that their privacy is being affected.

Haha it's a funny term. Yeah I have several friends that do something like that in facebook. Sometimes they're just disturbing and sometimes it turns to an annoyance to me haha. One of my friend even has photos of her about 1000 photos, I don't know what to say, maybe it's impressive or what, I dunno.

That was too many pics there. If will be acceptable if the photos are group photos or once in a while have a solo pic of him/her. However, there are some individual that even created an album to every photo session of their own face with just different poses.

My friends are like that but I don't want to call them "camwhores". Anyway whenever I'm hanging out with them they practically drag me to take pictures with them and upload on Facebook. I do not want that but they insist anyway. I don't understand what's so interesting in uploading photos of yourself online.

I just read about this term. Group picture for me is fine but I think there are some that used to take photos of themselves alone and post it in some social networking sites. these are the ones referred to as camerawhores.

Oh, I have such acquaintances and friends over my friends of Facebook that does such disturbing uploads. I really don’t like such people because it just goes to show that they are bragging their things over the social networking site. Like, they should get real that people does not even care on the things that they buy and post it over the social networking site. Such people are quite ignorant in terms of handling responsible usage of social media.

I think I have to agree with you. Some people are getting abuse of the use of social networking sites. Some post every move they made making their profiles with tons of photos.

I have known a lot of my friends who are like that. My facebook home page becomes flooded by such pictures. But I am totally not like that, I love pictures but I am not that narcissistic, I prefer to be the one who will took a picture. I have a passion of capturing every moment through photography - which I would like to develop. Happy Mylotting!

Just like you, I don't want to take photos of myself and post it in facebook. I usually asked my wife or friend to take photos of me. So I met another photography enthusiast here. This is also one of my hobby now. I even made my own photography blog which showcase some of my shots.

I have never heard the word "camerawhore" before! what an interesting word! Sometimes I do have the feeling like yours.I don't have a negative opinion of their taking photos every moment, coz they may consider it's a memorable moment for them. But I just don't understand why they are full of enthusiasm about uploading on internet! For myself, I seldom take photos in daily life unless go out for sightseeings. But I totally don't want upload those photos, because I think it's my private life.

Yes, posting their photos in the social networking sites makes them a bt public and losses their privacy. Like yours, I mostly post photos of my recipes and captured sceneries. i am into photography now, a starter.

Same here. Yes there are many photos on me on my profile but I was just tagged in most of it. Some are really fun of taking photos of themselves and post it immediately in facebook.

LOL "camerawhore", wow...yes I do know a few people who love to take pictures of themselves and post them but I would never have thought of them as a "camerawhore"...LOL WOW.....No I am not one who like to have their pictures taken....so that clears me as being a "camerahore"...and even if I did I would never refer to anyone especially myself as a "camerawhore"....

Is this a correct term given to this people who loved to post every move they have ?It is only now i know the term ," camerawhore ". This people are so happy to post all there photos although not so significant . I remember a friend who commented about this people who posted everything , she said this people thought that we love to look at there pictures , when in fact it is only them who love to see their pic. This people loves to share everything to the world and when someone somewhat invaded their privacy then they will get angry and will complain.

I just read about it. They are the one who are fond of taking photos of themselves and post it in social networking sites. I agree with you, they posted everything and when they get in trouble, they will complain that their privacy was invaded by others.

I am not one of a camerawhore, cause it is not my hobby to upload my pictures and post it online. I use social networking sites for my communication purposes only so I have 3 pictures and I think that's enough. I don't understand why they have to that, but let them do what they want to do. It is not of our business.

Yes,it is not of our business. if they are really fond of sharing photos of themselves, let them be. It was just funny sometimes seeing a single picture with make photos just showing a new dress of new head accessories.
