I used to nap in the mid afternoon. I can say I cannot complete a day without an afternoon nap.I used to have at least 2 hours nap and that makes me feel better to continue my task.
Its a kind of habit maybe but it helps me stand longer during the day without feeling sleepy at work.
How do you feel about afternoon nap? Anyone of you have the same habit.?
Kindly share.Thank you.

I am retired and have a rather strange schedule. Usually up late but occasionally I do have a nap and then up for awhile and then nap again. Crazy. I guess whatever makes us happy with the life we are leading is just fine.

I cannot make a day without napping in the afternoon and that makes me feel good. I agree that if that makes us happy then we can go for it. Thanks for the response.

Here in my country, we have this habit called Siesta wherein during noon time; we do take a nap or rest after a good lunch and morning activity.
I don’t find it wrong taking an afternoon nap; it’s also a good way of recharging yourself so as when you will wake up you can perform better since you had relaxed your body.

I never had afternoon naps during most of my life. But when I started with chemotherapy, my body simply had to sleep after lunch. I could not have my eyes open. I decided it was absurd to fight against it as I`m retired and can do what I need to do when I want to. Later I kept on doing it and now I hardly ever skip it.

Its good to have a nap especially if we feel not well and we need to recover our body to some illness.I used to do that since I also had a mild operation at my early age.
Just like you its really hard to get rid of this habit now.
Thank you for your response.

Before I used to do that when my shift was 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. I usually took a nap at 3:00 pm. I did it for about 30 mins. But now, unfortunately even if I feel so sleepy I cannot afford to look for a bed or a room to take rest because we move already to another office without a pantry and a room with television and sofa (don't know for the exact term. lol)It feels good when we take a nap during afternoon. Really

I like afternoon naps too and always take one during holidays and vacations. Usually I get out of the house at 5:45am and reach home at 4:30pm due to my tuition and college . I feel really and sleepy during my lectures, everyone in my class does and this really irritates our lecturers. Everyone has plans of what they would do on holidays but I just dream of having a good uninterrupted sleep and waking up in a pleasant mood!

I agree with you, having an afternoon nap makes us feel rested and relax. In your case its hard to take one during weekdays but at least you made it during weekends and holidays. When I cannot nap in the afternoon it really hard for me to continue my job.But if its really necessary not to take nap I can control though it really hard.=)
Thanks for your response.

I sleep whenever I am sleepy. But if its already too late, I force myself to stay awake because if I sleep, I'll be awake for like the whole night. And the problem with me is that when I take a nap in the afternoon, it's not a nap at all, when I wake up, I'll be continuing my sleep, sometimes from like 1 or 2 in the afternoon, I would go sleeping until tomorrow morning. haha! That's me. When I sleep, I sleep, no naps for me. Sometimes, I do, but its rare. =)

Good if you can always have a sleep sometimes the reason for a nap is that I cannot complete the sleeping hours at night and start my job so,I make sure I can napped during the day to be able to continue my task.
Thank you for your response.

In your situation I think its really hard to have a nap.I'm working alone and have a simple job and so that makes me easy to nap even in a short time.
Thanks for your response.

I really never have gotten used to napping in the afternoon. Even when I was a kid, my nanny would always be by my side to make sure that I would take my nap. But i just couldn't. I would just lie down for an hour and then get out of my bed. But I do sleep early all the time back then.

Well, this your thread, it is just right for me. I also do more or less an hour or two every day I take my afternoon nap classic, in the afternoon.
I just I need in the afternoon nap,
More or less our family lunch around 1:00 pm. Before 2:00 pm I finished eating and I'm going to lie down on the bed. I turn off the phone and I sleep, when I wake up, it does not matter.
Next week I have a number of commitments by which my afternoon nap will unfortunately shorter!

I have the same hahit as you. I take a nap after lunch every day since
I was a high school student. I can't concentrate on my study or my work
if I don't take a nap. Usually I take a nap about one hour , it is enough
for me to regain my energy. Now I have worked for 15 years, I have
a family and child, I still have the habit. Glad to know that we have the same habit.
Have a good time!

Have a good time too.
