There are some people i know who are afraid on taking trips by plane. They have this thinking that the plane might crash and as we all know there is no chance of surviving. I love to travel by plane though i also admit that i am also quite scared. It is more convenient to travel and it is also faster.
When I am taking planes on trip, I usually choose the one beside the window because I love seeing the different forms of clouds. I even took pictures of them when the last time I took the trip.
What about you, myLotters, are you also scared taking planes on a long trip? which seat do you always take?

I am not afraid of flying. If I don't have much time or if I am going to visit a place that is far way from my own country I prefer to fly to my destination. When I travel alone I usually try to get to a window seat so that I will be able to enjoy the view from the window. When my husband and I travel together I usually sit in the middle if there are 3 seats because my husband wants an aisle seat. He is afraid of flying and he would feel even more uncomfortable without an aisle seat. In some of the small planes there are only 2 seats and that is perfect for us when we travel together because I get to sit next to the window and my husband gets an aisle seat.

I always love travelling by plane. It's more convenient and at the same time, I can get to my destination faster. And the seat besides the window is also my preferred seat :)
Besides, I'm never really a fan of travelling by sea since the waves really scare me :)) Though I would love to go on a cruise someday :)

I cannot forget my first experience taking an airplane to go the countryside. My student and I joined the national competition. I was very excited because it is my dream to ride an airplane. Since I was a kid, I dream of it.Then, the day came of our trip. While I was walking toward the plane, I got nervous and wanted to quit. I suddenly got the fear of heights. But, then I fought that feeling. I waited too long to have that opportunity and I must not let it pass just because of my fear.
When I was already on the airplane, I was really afraid that I might vomit. Thanks God that I did not. I enjoyed the picturesque scenery.I appreciated the clouds. It seemed that they were dancing.Since our flight was very early in the morning, I saw how the sun rose on the country side. While I was on the airplane I also heard the funny sounds that kids made during the take off and landing of the airplane.
I am so happy that I experienced that kind of trip. I am blessed. I hope that I can ride an airplane once again. I do hope that next time, I will be near the window so I can take more pictures of the clouds and different landscapes.

I'm always nervous when traveling by plane because once we are in the air we have no control over what happens. I'm usually good once we have reached the height that we are suppose to be at. When that happens I'm releaved and calm. I'm just so afraid that once we take off that something will happen either we start falling or their is an explosion. I'm traveling in a week and half and I'm more nervous then I have ever been before. I think its a combination of the horrible things happening between Boston and Texas, along with being a survivor of 9/11 which doesn't help me in feeling secure.

I am not afraid of planes, but I don`t mind is it`s window or not. I buy a magazine at the airpor, I open it on my lap and fall asleep immediatly. I have a couple of friends who take pictures of the clouds and also of cities as you see them from the air. I prefer pictures with people on them.

I like airplanes as they take you swiftly to faraway places. But I have a cousin who will not take a plane, even for a small trip. He has a kind of phofia towards flying

Well, in my life, air travel I've made only two.
In 2003 I went to Santo Domingo (Airfrance company), the transatlantic flight lasted about 8 hours. No fear.
On that occasion I also took the seat near the window.
Two years ago, however, in 2011, I took a small plane from Seville to Milan Bergamo as the return of a trip I made with a friend of mine. Also on this occasion I was sitting at the window again.
However, I confirm that I have no fear of flying.

I absolutely love plane rides, I have only been on a plane 3 times in my life but I loved it so much!
My husband on the other hand is terrified of flying! I went on a plane ride with him one time and I will NEVER get on another one with him ever. He was freaking out, telling everyone the plane was going to crash. He was so scared, and he was really making the other passengers angry. Any little noise or movement he was freaking out again. It was the worst flight ever! He will never get on a plane again anyway, he hated it because of his fear. The only reason he got on a plane that time was because his father was dying and he had to get there fast...

as for me, it is better and i would prefer to take a trip by plane because you can get to your destination faster. yes, it feels a bit scary when the plane goes and takes off and just thinking you are so high up in the sky but i wouldn't want to think about getting crash, if it's already your time it can happen but i just think positive and would like to enjoy the ride. i feel it doesn't take long we are already at our destination..like you, i also love sitting beside the window, i like looking outside when the plane takes off and above i can see the mountains, buildings and houses below and it's great to see the clouds too.

I love taking the airplane. It is so much more convenient than taking the ship. It gets me to my desired destination for less time. I feel like I am able to maximize my time more if I do so. I usually take the window seat. I love looking out the window when the plane's about to take off. I love the feeling when the image of the city gets smaller and smaller until it just turns into a bunch of little lights. It makes me feel as if I really am part of something greater- like there really is a bigger picture. :)

I have been travelling by plane to various countries prior to 2001. I had stopped travel by plane since 2001 after the 09/11 incidence . Just exactly a year before this incidence, I was enjoying myself up there with my family members. I felt sad whenever I thought of it. .
