Which would you prefer?

Would you prefer to have a vehicle right away, or be able to use your money throughout the year and do other things? I would like to buy a vehicle but I would also like it to be cheap as possible. There are two same type of vehicles that I have in mind at different locations.
One I would have to get a loan and pay it for probably the next three years. That one is the nicer of the two vehicles with a paint job and only 65,000 miles. The other one looks decent, has a lot of miles, but I wouldn't have to get a loan. I know the man who is selling it and he does like a pay through them but I wouldn't have to pay any interest.
If I get the second car I would have money through out the year to do other things. But if I get the first one then I would be broke from here on out.

If I have to choose, I would choose the second one if I were you. I can't sleep well if I have a loan for that. Now many of my colleagues have cars, I know it's very convenient and decent, but I won't buy one as it's a burden for me. I ride a bike to work every day, it takes two hours every day, it's a little tired but it's healty.

I'm glad to hear that you are able to ride your bike to work every day. Yes that would be a long commute but it does save you money and it is very healthy. I think I need to start walking and exercising more. I was doing good for awhile but then life started to get stressful again. So I have to get back into exercising.

Yes I agree with you. It's crazy that for one purchase it can cause a big strain on finances throughout a whole year. And I personally don't think living life like that is fun. It only creates stress and anxiety. Welcome to mylot! Thanks for your comment and I hope that you are enjoying your time here.

I think you should go for the second one as having extra money not only makes you feel secure but also helps in case of an emergency. You never know what might happen and you might suddenly need money for something. It's just an opinion! If you really like the first one you should get it.

I completely agree with you. Having extra money really does help in case of emergencies. We never know when an emergency may come up. So it is vital that we prepare ourselves to the best of our ability. We don't want to have an empty account when an emergency arises.
