I walked 3.8 miles

I've been feeling much better in the mornings. I saw on Dr Oz about Garcinia Cambogia (pronounced gam-bo-sha). I ordered myself a 3 month supply and it is working wonders for me. It acts like an antidepressant because it increases serotonin levels in the brain. It gives me good energy without buzzing me up with stimulants. My blood pressure remains good. I'm more outgoing. My social anxiety is nonexistent.
Now about exercise. The most I can usually walk is 30 to 40 minutes. I've been walking much more than that now. Yesterday I walked 70 minutes. Today I walked 90 minutes and my distance was 3.8 miles.
In the evenings I am very lame and I have to take something for pain. I wish I could also walk at night to get more miles in. My brother walks 7 miles a day. He used to be way heavier than me and now he is way lighter than me.
Tomorrow I'm going to set my phone timer for 1 hour and 40 minutes. I want to build up to 2 hours. The only thing is I'm toast for the rest of the day. I can do my housework good but by suppertime I'm in a lot of pain. The pain is no worse than usual though. My pain level is about a 6 on a scale of 10 being the worst.
I wonder if I will be able to be pain free at night if I get myself in better condition? Have you any experience with musculoskeletal pain getting better with more walking?
The point I was coming to here is that my body chemistry is changing for the better with the extract. I could never do this before. Now I WANT to. I like to walk early in the morning when it is cool.
About my appetite. I'm not restricting myself. If I want to eat 8 ounces of food rather than 4, I do it. I eat what I want until I don't feel hungry anymore. I can't eat a lot but a cup or a cup and a half of food is a lot for me.
I lost 4 pounds this week.
My daughter noticed my jeans and top are getting really baggy on me. I'm losing inches more than I am pounds. I guess that's from all the walking this week.
It just feels good to feel good. I hope that tonight my muscles won't hurt though.
Any thoughts?

You go girl, congrats on becoming more active and taking care of yourself. I have been dieting for a little over 13 months now. I am more active but have not gotten up to the distance of walk that you have. I take more walks but at shorter distances. I find this works the best for me. I watched Dr. Oz and he said that you can walk 10 or 15 minutes at a time that they add up the same as just walking a few miles all at once. I find that if I am sore that this works the best for me. I might walk 20 minutes to a half hour in the morning and then take another walk in the afternoon or evening or both. I hope you start getting some relief from your pain. Could you message me more information on the Garcinia Cambogia. I would really appreciate it. Keep up the great work.

You also have a good weekend. 2 miles is great. I want to increase my distance as long as it feels good to do it.

As you lose the weight, exercise, and walking in particular becomes more easier, because you are not carrying around as much weight, the more weight you lose the more easier it becomes! I hope you are proud of yourself for what you are achieving, you will also feel better mentally as well, as any exercise releases the 'happy chemicals' in the brain. I should know I go to the gym 3 times a week. Keep up the excellent work dear friend.

Hi Wolfie! I do feel better mentally. I was busy in the house today. I was going to sweep the driveway, but I didn't have time. I had to see my lung doc. I got a good report too and have to go back in 6 months instead of the usual 3 months.

If you can get in the tub, have a nice warm soak with epsom salts before bed. Or, if that's not possible, do you have a topical pain reliever you can rub into your muscles?
You need to give your muscles time to repair themselves, too, or they'll just complain all the more.

I am pleased at your success. I find if I am more active, the pain slightly decreases. Less activity, more depression, more pain, and more weight gain. I have muscle/nerve pain which just is a pill and a half to deal with.
I'm walking the dog about three times a day 20 minutes. Then I try to get through a Leslie Sansone walk a mile tape. Maybe that's two miles a day. Like you, I'd like to increase this. I had to take a nap yesterday afternoon after the second walk - couldn't keep my eyes open, felt imbalance too. Geez.
Congratulations on the weight loss, that's amazing! Please keep posting.
Also, I have to look for the garcinia - wonder if it reacts to medications like St. John's Wort?

I've lost a whole 'person' since 2001. But I still need to lose 90 pounds. I could get by with losing less but if I lose 90 more pounds will will have become half the person I used to be.

Way To Go, Woman!
I am really happy for your health and more so for your progress with your weight loss. I hope you would like the song by The Proclaimers - I'm Gonna Be, to accompany you on your walks.

You are doing really good. Glad you are so full of energy and that this stuff is helping you so much.
I am really into mushrooms right now. There are five that have beneficial nutrients in them besides the regular B complex and some minerals. Research has been done and they are found to help with different types of cancer and some are said to destroy 95% of cancer cells. With cancer on both sides of my family I am all for it. Here are the types:
Shitake(Lentinus edodes), Maitake(Grifola frondosa), Golden Needle(Flammulina velutipes), Agaricus Blazei(Agaricus blazei murrill), and Reishi Mushroom(Ganoderma lucidum)
Back in the mid 80's I used to job 7 miles a day. Three and a half miles up the green belt and then back home. The green belt is by the river and goes through several parks so it is a pretty little lane to jog on. Or do anything else for that matter.

I think it is great that you are doing all of this for yourself, and I wish that more people would find something that they love doing, in the way of exercise, and then just do it.
I don't like to walk or exercise alone, and didn't really know many people in my area when I started, so I went back to my love of dancing, after many years of being a wife and mother.
In doing so, I not only enjoy every moment of it, and get great exercise, but I have also made a lot of friends, and I feel better about myself, my health, and just life in general. I go at least twice a week as of now.
Anyway, good for you and keep it up!!
