There are many times when everyone has things they need to walk away from. When I was homeless my last time, I ended up losing more than just my cat and her kittens. I lost them and I miss them dearly. I ended up gaining more as a result of that sad loss. Everyone one here has lost things only to end up with better things. When I say that I do not mean losing people! What is one thing that you have lost that opened the door to better things and opportunities in your life?

I lost my first love, and it was pretty bad experience for me because i really loved that girl a lot.But that made me much more pragmatic with lot of control on my emotions. Also it developed my ability to judge people.May be i am more mechanical in approach now but that works for me most of the times.Best wishes.

i lost the ability to work and go to school when my mental health deteriorated. i had to give up working and law school. however, i did get my 100% disability rating. now, i don't work, but my quality of life is much more better than i thought it would be. trying to do all that stuff with a mental illness was making me worse. it's much better now.
