Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say

Writing is a way to talk to your readers. This means you need to say what you mean and mean what you say. Otherwise, you will just be ranting and your readers will get confused.
Of course, that being said. It takes practice to talk well and write well. The two don't always go together. Sometimes, we make sense, but the reader is new to the subject. Other times, we think we're making sense, but we're not saying it right.
Oh well, that's writing. It's complicated.

?I agree. Being able to do both is great. There are people who can talk very well but poor at writing. There are writers who doesn't have the confidence to speak their minds. I've noticed your username is "bloggers", do you blog? If you do, would you mind sharing? I love to read blogs. They are from real people's point f view.

Yup. I blog. In between blog posts, I'm here posting to follow a train of thought. And it helps me practice to keep my blog crisp.
A link to one of my blogs is in my profile page. I'm still overhauling all my blog URLs. They used to be too long. I've shortened them and removed the hyphens to make them mobile-friendly.

. Good to know you are making your blog as accessible as possible. I just check out your profile. I feel bad because I can't open blogspot in China. I must use VPN to open it.

I agree, speaking and writing are two different, things. I used to hate english, writing, reading as a matter of fact, but I have recently been so endeared with teh way words can help us understand what people are thinking. And surpisingly enough not everyone has the talent to do so. I am beginner, but i will work my way through to develop my love for writing. :)

i always admire those who can express their minds in the words they write. i am amzed how they find words that can express their thoughts and feelings without much effort. as if the ideas and words are one and flowing together. i like simple writing where any reader can understand what is written. the good writers have found ways on how to do exactly that. i am still learning though.

I agree with your purpose but it also takes a while to fine tune anything we want to communicate whether we are doing it in a written or oral form. Even written words in the clearest sense that it can be can still represented and some people need to read those things twice or more just to understand the message. Being direct can have its advantages and opposite effect depending who your audience is and what exactly you are imparting so there is also a bit of caution on that. Take care of your message but all aspects of the communication as well.
Have to agree -writing is more complicated than what other people think it is.

it takes talent and a good command of the language to be able to get the exact message across the reader. sometimes one has the idea but cannot find the words to express the thoughts on writing. oftentimes, being a good speaker doesn't always mean a good writer. i agree with you, it takes practice to hone the talent for writing.
