Ontario Ice Storm Update. Still No Power At Mom's House.

The ice storm that hit Ontario is definitely making the news all over the place. I just got off the phone with my Mother and there is still no hydro an hour North of Guelph. She told me that my sister's in-laws have no hydro where they live either, and may not get any until tomorrow afternoon. That sucks! My 90 year old Grandma lives close to them (one town over) and all she experienced was an hour without hydro. On the one hand she lives all alone, but she knows all the neighbours. She and grandpa, who died in 2011, lived there since 1946. Dad and his three sisters moved the laundry facilities up from the basement to the kitchen, and converted an empty room on the main floor into a bedroom for her. There is a ramp outside, ao she doesn't have to climb anything. Neighbours are very helpful. If hubby and I lived closer, we'd be there every day. Sadly, we don't drive, and neither does Grandma. According to my weather app, the worst of it is over, Abd though it'll be rainy, we'll be in the double digits (Celcius) all next week. Maybe Spring is going to finally get here, Abd the ice storm was just a final "up yours" from Winter. lol Here's hoping.
