Heeeeeeeeeello, I am not a sir, I am a Miss.

mustache - for female mustache is called fustache.

brought about male hormones in women. Some women have this because of hormones called testosterone. some genetics and some due to menstrual problems.

“Heeeeeeeeeello, I am not a sir, I am a Miss.” Some of the women kept on defending their titles… why do they have mistakenly thought as a Mr instead of a miss. Yes, some of us have mustache too. LOL A woman with mustache, some call it as Fustache. ohhhhh well, whatever it is called it is hair growing above the women’s upper lip and believe it or not women find it annoying. Why will there be a mustache on women’s face? All humans are born with estrogen (female hormones) and testosterone ( male hormones). If the female hormone exceeds the level in a male, most likely the man would have female characteristics, and so if the male hormones exceeded to female bodies, growing hair like this is possible to women. There is nothing wrong with having this however, to some this may cause negative psychological effect. Imagine such a beautiful face, with pouty lips, long and dark eyelashes, skin without any blemishes and pimples, with mustache or beard? Hmmm.. just don’t try to mess around with the woman with mustache, remember she also has testosterone and could just knock you down with a single and simple swing of her arms. whooosh! upper cut.... super cute.

I have upper lip hair myself, but I'm not bothered much especially because I have them removed. I go to a salon every month or so, to get an upper lip thread. I did yesterday. It's not really thick or noticeable, but, I prefer them to be NOT there.

That's right it is painful. That's why I prefer having someone thread them for me because plucking them my self is too painful. Oh, and don't ever try to shave them, they'll get thicker and blacker. And it would look really shaved because the roots will show a blackish mark on the skin.

I don't know what "thread" is. I don't have any idea at all. Anyway, i can't imagine plucking ouch.... plucking eyebrows is painful enough much more in fustache

Hi mav! I am also of the view like Danny have said above that an uncommon name could cause problems for a woman who could be misunderstood as a man. Facial features like growth of hair etc. should not mislead a person in belieiving that a woman could be a man because women have different anatomy than men. I many a times get confuse with some particular names which could fit both for a male and female so I cross check before talking to such person whether they are men or women.

Hello Mavic, I´m glad to read you soon. Well for me my problem is not the hormones nor the moustache, but my name. My name is not common at my country, I mean unknow by most people, so when I receive promotional phonecalls many times they ask for the sir. Let me tell you that this is a sign of alert to know that somebody strange is calling me. Blessings Mavic... dainy

I have always thought that people who laugh at other people are very dumb. I have seen people who consider themselves witty because they hurt other people`s feelings in front of others. That has to do with people that make fun of upper lip hair in women, pimples, acne, you name it. Some males do have some female characteristics too, but it is not a laughing matter.

yes that's too rude. males having females characteristics are called effeminate I think.

If there is one thing that I am thankful of, is that I am not hairy. While I still have my fair share of unwanted hair elsewhere (I would rather not divulge har har har!), facial hair isn't one of them. There are lots of hair-removing techniques available now so it is no longer a big problem. It is a hassle though, but then again, some people find "fustache" cute and appealing.
