What does it mean when a guy asks you if you have a boyfriend?

I think if a guy asks that question he may be interested in you romantically or he just wants to know if you have one so he will be aware to keep his distance if you actually have a boyfriend. I base this answer on my own reasons for asking guys whether they have girlfriends. Another thing: if a person lies about being single, then that's a red flag. It is best to ask a guy this.

It usually means that he's interested in you. If you answer 'no', his next move will probably be to ask you out.

Took it in the simple manner. Maybe he is just curious to know if you have a boyfriend. Now, wait for his next move then you will come to know if there is another reason behind the first question.

It depends my friend. You should observe the way he asked that question to you. Because there you will find the answer a whether he has a thing for you or it was just a normal question.
