What is the best home-based business nowadays? Is on-line selling still okay? Blogging? Odesk? I can't seem to make up my mind on what to start and how to start it.
I need to augment my income and that would no come from an increase in our salaries as our directors and really frugal about it.
Anyways, I did wanted to try online selling but confused on what to sell online which is not the same with other on-line sellers. Ideas anyone?

I would like to name two home based jobs that you may do and earn a full time income from any of them. The first one is teaching online. If you are a good teacher and have a good knowledge of the subject you are teaching, you can easily earn a five digit income by teaching students from abroad and from your own country. The second one is,the ability to write medical transcription.I am told that this online job too may help you a full time income online. But I have no idea about it.

Teaching English (or other languages) online is a very profitable online job. And it is so doable with today's technology. Now that DSL connections are very fast, it is really a simple matter to setup virtual classrooms.

Publishing your own blog is a long-term business proposition. It's quite risky, too. On the other hand, some sites like oDesk is more about getting an online job than having a business. If anything, I think selling stuff on eBay is more like a business. You just have to find stock up on bestselling items to make it big.
