Swelling feet

In one of my discussions I had talked about swelling of my feet and remark of a friend; he said; ‘when death is near feet swell’.
For this issue I was hospitalized for one day, some said it is due to diabetes neuropathy, another said the swelling on left feet is related to multiple fracture of my left hip bone in 1985; but he was silent about the right feet swelling.
Any way multiple tests were done; the most important being x’ ray and ‘blood creatine’ and ‘blood urea’ levels, everything was found to be normal.
I was discharged with advice to take some medicines; which I don’t like to take; I am disgusted.
My wife, who is away at our daughter home; told my daughter in law to boil cloves of garlic in mustard oil till they are brown strain and keep in bottle, and massage on the feet after making it warm.
After massaging 2 times daily for 3 days, it is totally gone.
I am sharing it here for benefit of friends, one may try.
Let me add it works as pain reliever too.
Garlic and mustard seed are spices one can find in our homes.
Please respond comment and share your tips if any.
Thanks in advance. Professor Dr. Bhuwan Saraf. PhD. April 14 , 2013.
Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

hello professor,
i am a witness to the cure. the feet was really swelling and after two days of massage, i saw the improvement. you were also complaining about the throbbing pain in the soles of the feet. now you said "very little now"; "almost gone". that was amazing.
this is a safe home remedy and topical use.

Maybe the swelling was brought about by increase of uric acid in your blood, thus making your feet look edematous.

Hello Sir,
I am a rheumatoid arthritis patient. At one point of time I had immense swelling on my feet and was tested for KFT (Kidney Function Test). My reports were normal, but the swelling persisted. I too was advised to apply the the same oil, which I did for a couple of days, but it was of no avail. Then somebody advised me to take black tea as he called it. Boil a cup of water and add tea leaves in it. When the quantity remains half strain the water and allow it to cool a bit. Then add plain water in it and make it one cup again and drink it empty stomach. It was this special tea that relieved me of 8 months feet swelling within 1 week.

Hi Professor I took care of many people including my father who had swollen feet. There are many causes for this problem and usually it is an indication of retaining fluid, when your feet get like this it is really important to elevate them put them up on a foot stool for a least an 1 hour or longer a couple times a day and always let your doctor know about any conditions that seem to increase or new ones hope this helps and have a great day.

My right leg swells and my knee aches. I went to see the doctor the other day and all she said was it is part of aging without even sending me for any kind of blood test to arrest the roots of the problem. I have previously been tested and found to have high uric acid and that could be part of the reason why I sometimes get this terrible gouty pain that send me limping when it attacks. I need some kind of natural healing oil to sooth the pain and your tried and tested oil might help to ease my swelling leg. Thanks for sharing.

Hi. That is nice to hear that your problem had settled down. I am in a medical profession and I could see that many remedies are present right in our home and with proper diet and such remedies, one can lead a healthy life. But at the same time, I would suggest everyone to go to a doctor if something abnormal turns up before starting to take the home made remedies. Seeing a doctor is not only to know what problem a person has, but also to exclude the various problems that person might have or present in the future. Happy mylotting.

yes, i may agree that if a person who is very ill an you can see him/her swelling, there is a bad impression that might happened. but it should not to the foot or feet only. it can be seen in the person's whole body. and besides, there are lots of reasons why a certain part of the body is swelling.
and according to the findings about your fracture, swelling occurred at your foot because for sure, there is something wrong happened in your veins. it is right that you will not apply hard massage on it. hot compress is good to ease gas pains because fractures are prone to gas pains, you should be aware of that. apply some liniments to the fractured part and below to it, you can apply a massage so that the distribution of blood and oxygen will flow evenly and the twisted or clogging veins will be straightened out.
here in the philippines, there are lots of herbals which you can use for your fracture and swelling foot. take care

Hi Prof ! WE call that as Edema. I am learning something from here , really a mustard and garlic can be used as remedy for edema. There is some truth to this because garlic have an antibiotic components . Also if one have an Edema this can reflect on his diet also maybe taking so much food with high in salt. Too much salt destroys our kidneys . We need to have extra care with our body , health is wealth!

Hi,
it is very useful information. Sometimes our feet swell because of our wrong posture. Sitting for long time at one place keep the feet hanging may cause swelling of feet. We have garlic and mustard seeds in our house always. So we can apply this solution for curing swelling feet. I never had this problem but my wife has problem of muscles. It would be useful for her. Thank you for the useful information.

The Best Cure to Heal.
when we feel much of the pain, it indicates that we're at the brim of healing.
if it doesn't ache, we would never really work for its healing. Being patient on the matter and finding every sort of remedy would work best rather than tolerating that feeling of disgust. Remedies will always be available and thanks so much for this tip.
on the other hand, the best remedy will more than anything else be our "personal decision" to give our self the healing that we need. even if the best solutions are around, yet if we wont tell ourself that we want to try on any of it, healing will never really occur.
the best tip i could recommend more than anything else is to "lead our own self" to find the cure that would eventually give an end to such pain -- gailmontero
