Recently I came to know from a discussion in mylot that there is a provision of rating others in mylot. Being a newbie, I was not aware of it so far. I regret for my ignorance but I every doubt whether or not the other mylotters who have been attached to mylot for long are actually aware of it. Were you so long aware of it or did you come to know of it from this discussion? I assumed the rating, if any, is to be done by the administration of the site but now I see that my assumption was wrong. Now let me know how I can rate others. Is it themylotter starting a discussion to rate the responders or is it that even the responders can rate both the fellow responders and the mylotter starting the discussion? I think that every mylotter should make it a habit to rate the fellow mylotters so that they may feel encouraged to put their whole hearted efforts to make mylot improve day by day. I think everyone should agree with me. Do you support my views? Do you rate others?

You are here for three months and you have never read the instructions given to us by myLot about how to use their site? You will find them here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq.aspx The part concerning rating others and how to use the rating system can be found here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx and here: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx There are three ways, as explained by myLot, to rate others and I use them as I think necessary.

I think most of the mylotters are like; either they never read the guidelines of using mylot or they do not apply them while working in mylot. If they did so, then Doctor Didi would not have to post a discussion asking to know about her ranking. Thanks to Doctor Didi for making me aware of something I did not know and also thanks to you for explaining me everything. I must now visit the links to make me perfect as far as possible in mylot.

all discussions, responses and comments (the posts inside response boxes) have the +, - and ! sign next to them which means we can all rate and report practically anything. the only ones you can't rate are your own that's why there's only the ! sign next them. mylot has provided guidelines on how the + and - signs are to be used, but i think it can be pretty subjective. some would neg rate anyone who disagrees with them but it turns out to be just misinterpretation or miscommunication. some neg-rate and report, double whammy. some refuse to report anything at all because they think they shouldn't meddle or it's the admin's job. i think some mylotters tend to prioritize giving BRs. i also think some only rate those who responded to their discussions.

You can rate wherever you see a rating box, whether you participate or not in the discussion too. I hope you have read the links and have understood that you can: - rate plus - rate negative - not rate at all - report

hello there :) i must say that no one is forcing us to rate some members in here but however this deed is a helpful activity to increase someone's rate. oh yes, you are right, seeing your star rising higher would motivate somebody to participate more in here and share ideas or giving information in this community reserve for us all. you have a good topic you started out there :)
