I have this practise that each night before my kids go to sleep, I would say sorry to
them if I have made them sad during the day.
I don't know why but I feel so so good when my 5 year old daughter replies :
" It's okay mom. I am sorry too." And she will hug me and kiss my cheeks.
Awww.. do you do the same too for your kids? How do they respond ?
Would love to hear your stories .
Being a good mom to our kids is something we want to and I am sure they will feel
proud of having a mother like us.
I am still learning on how to be a good mom. Let's together strive for that. :)

i think it's a great example so kids will learn to be sensitive/considerate and aware of the consequences of their words and actions, even if unintentional. hopefully, you can keep it up till they're older.

I feel very bad if I don't apologise first to them. It's like the negative moments I had with them during the day are hanging in the air. By saying sorry and they acknowledge saying "I'm sorry too" makes my ego go away.
Hopefully too. I hope by instilling this everyday, they will grow up thinking that to say sorry even though they are not at fault, is good.
