It's a show on TV. It's on the OWN (Oprah's network) channel. I have been watching since the first season but this past Saturday's show really blew me away. It was focused on the rapper DMX and his drug and womanizing problems. Unfortunately he looked as though he was high while on the show and ended up having a very harsh verbal altercation with Iyanla. It was very disrespectful, he called her all kinds of degrading names and kept telling her to shut the f*ck up. I felt bad watching as I thought to myself I would have never been able to keep such a calm composure in such a situation. Her prior seasons tended to focus on everyday people trying to put the pieces to their lives back together. It seems this season might be more celebrity oriented since it started off with DMX.
Does anyone watch this show?
I personally get some great advice from what she tells those on her show. She seems like she is genuine when trying to help. Although sometimes she can come off a little rough, I think she is doing it from a place of genuinly caring for people. And there are not many reality shows that actually show any "care" for those involved.

This is my second season watching the show and I really enjoy it. The epidsode with DMX was just sad. He's downright pathetic.
I've noticed that he keeps going on these intervention type shows but he doesn't really seem to want help. A few years ago him and his ex were on Couples Therapy and he wasn't really open to changing on there either. On Couples Therapy they even brought his mother into his therapy sessions (though he refused at first) and that didnt help either. I was glad his wife finally decided to leave him for her own sanity.
On Iyanla: Fix my Life, DMX was closed/not receptive from the very beginning, argumentative and rude. Sadly I believe that DMX doesn't believe he really has a problem. An addict who doesn't realize he's an addict. Everybody in the world can see it but him. Right about now I just feel he needs the money/publicity.
I'm really happy that Iyanla is able to help a lot of people with their problems and look forward to watching it on a weekly basis. Day by day she's helping the world live their lives in peace not pieces.

I remember him on the Couples Therapy show and I agree....There too he made no real effort in trying to fix anything. I assumed he was doing it because he was in need of money. But then when I saw his wife, or x-wife shall I say on that other reality show Starter Wives...I knew that DMX wasn't on the couples show for just money..because she sincerely seemed to be trying to face their marital problems and possibly move forward. Well we now see that didn't work. Him being on Iyanla didn't work...It's truly a shame but I do wish him the best. He is an outstanding Rap artist- if you listen to Rap music then you automatically know the man is literally a lyrical genius..at least in my book. The song he wrote about talking to the devil (Damion)...I still can rock to that till this day.
This morning while on my way into work I was listening to the radio and they were criticizing Iyanla for being so harsh, not only to DMX but to other who have been on the show. Some have claimed that they thought they were going to her for help and instead felt attacked. I think Iyanla's approach may come off too tough for some to handle but the reality is that the problems she is walking into to try to help are tough to begin with. So I think she handles them accordingly.

Apparently he wants the show yanked from TV and he may sue because of how he was portrayed on the show. Here is a link I ran across this morning:

Im pretty sure they will re-air it Bree. Just check on the OWN network. Her new season started with that show...so I'm sure they will show it again before airing the next show. Im sure it was highly rated being as though it was about DMX- and in that case you know the networks will play it again.
