Did it leave you moved/disturbed/thrilled and why?

What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why? For me it was definitely the movie Django. It is the most recent Quinton Tarrantino movie and although I am not a fan of his work I wanted to see this because of the history it was going to represent and because of the many great actors taking part of this project. Instead of being mostly moved by the story line (I was quite moved...but more grossed out) I was very disturbed with the amount of gory scenes in the movie. In the beginning there is even a scene where they literally blow a horses head off Needless to say from that point forward I watched it with my hand close to my face ready to cover my eyes. The killings in the movie were brutal and I just wished we were warned of that instead of all the media focusing on the controversy the movie may bring because it focused on a time in America that still seems to be a hot button topic to most: slavery.

I'm not a movie person. I think the last movie I saw in the theaters was a Spider-Man movie, but I don't recall which one! Guess it didn't do anything for me. I know I saw The Simpsons Movie-that was hysterical! I'm really not into scary or gory movies. I did manage to sit through most of Hellraiser and not cover my eyes! Watching a video of the remake of The Blob had me run out of a friends home, shaking and crying. But I could watch the black and white version!

Remember-I said I sat through MOST of the movie without covering my eyes! I did hide a couple of times by clinging to my boyfriend ;) Based on your description, I could NEVER watch Django. I'm a big crybaby!

Now Hellraiser is one movie I could NEVER sit thru without covering my eyes...lol. If I would of known Django was so gory I would of thought twice and been more prepared. When they shot the horses head off I was literally in utter SHOCK..I missed a good 10 minutes of watever happened next in the movie

I saw this movie a few months ago and I found it to be one of the best I have seen in a long time. It had drama, comedy, bloody scenes, love, and great music. I'm not a big fan of Quinton Tarrantino either but with this movie it was so well done that I actually want to watch it over again. I think the cast was great and it was well casted. I was happy to see Christoph Waltz win for best supporting actor at the Oscars this year, he deserved it.

Actually, the movie was mostly lies. Why would someone spend money on something he's just going to have killed?

I movie which disturbed and thrilled me most is Old Boy.I always thought that talking about people behind their back is not a good thing to do,but in this movie they showed that what can be the consequences of such an act.The climax just shakes you totally.Anyways you are so right about Django Unchained,it has many wonderful scenes that shakes your mind, like throwing that person to the dogs and the violence at the climax.
