Until a few months ago, I mostly watched shows on TV. But I came across a couple of very good films on TV and I started to check on the channels that gave movies. Sometimes it happens that I have seen them before: I used to go to the cinema frecuently with my husband. But there are some old movies that have not lost its magic. Today, for innstance, I watched "The purple color". I even discovered that one of the characters was played no more and no less than by Oprah. How about you? Do you watch films online? What kind of movies do you seek? Share!

I rarely watch movies online but my husband does download them. But I also enjoy watching movies on cable TV especially they don't have cuts or breaks for commercials, too. Just last night I've watched a series of sci-fi in Star Movies. So cool in the comfort of homes and get the chance to change channels whenever I'd like to. Have a great week ahead. ;)

I watch movies on cable TV as I don`t know how to download movies. I would love to know, place the movies on a DVD and watch it on the bigger TV screen.

I don't usually watch old movies. I never watch them if i have already seen them. I'm the same way by a book no matter how good it was i don't want to read it over.

I love to see some movies over and over but I let some time pass by. I was taken by my mom to see Gone with the wind when I was little. I took my girls and my granddaughter. The three times were worth it.

I watch films only on television and watching old classics[especially in my own mother tongue Tamil] is a favourite hobby of mine. I don't mind watching them repeatedly too and prefer these to some odd new films filled with violence, bad language and ugly characters. There are some films which I watch for the sake of the wonderful music in them and there are others for the sake my favourite film stars of yester years.

The Color Purple is considered an old movie? Wow! When you asked abut old movies I thought about the movies of the 40's, lol! I don't see movies on regular t.v. because they cut the movie in order to put in the commercials. It is great to see any film!

The reason I know about movies older than 1970 is because my mom and dad were into film. I saw most of the oldies on t.v. My mom anf I saw many together. It isn't the children's fault , they just got here. It is the parents. The parents or grand parents have to take the time and show them these great films of old.

Nowadays, sarahruthbeth, even one year old things are considered old..My grandchildren have never heard of the movies stars that I saw when I was young. It happens the same with music. Sometimes I feel that the younger generation came out of a UFO. For me, Chaplin was not ancient, although it was way before my time. But I bet most youngsters have never heard the name.

I watch old movies online- most on youtube.
I don't like watching it on tv with commercials, coz it eats up a lot of time.
When I am not in the mood with mylot and nothing interesting to do online- I do watch movies and also watch movies from other countries that has sub-titles.

I like subtitles in movies too. I think dubbing takes a lot out of a film. I mostly watch movies in English, but also some in French.

I also don't think about the language of the movie. I like to watch other languages movie, story and taking of the movie is important, nowadays all movies are coming with subtitles, so no problem with language of the movie. Iwatch mostly english, korean movies a lot. I like to watch on tv, nowadays every movie is released in English language then we can watch easily.

I like to watch movies on TV whenever possible. But I mostly watch cartoons or fantasy movies from Disney. But these days, most channels here in the Philippines dub the movies in Tagalog (our language) and it loses the movie's original theme. I wonder why they started doing such. Nonetheless, if I really have no choice, I have to watch them. As for watching online, my internet connection is really slow at night when I go home so I download them instead. ^^

In my country all children movies are dubbed to Spanish. But that does not happen in adult movies and they have mostly subtitles.

Hi belinda
Ohh so the dubbing also started on your side too. Hmm its so boring to watch the dub movies.I mean as you said they loose the original theme . Here in our country too this disease is spread. Especially on the weekends all the channels telecast the dub movies its so boring on these days.

I love watching movies only on television. Since I am working full time I do not get the time to see any movies during the week. But on weekends if there are good movies being shown then I make it a point to watch. And old movies are better always than the new ones.

I agree with that (not about my being 16). But for so many people "old" means something from two years ago, that I don`t know how to say it. I love to see the pictures I saw in the 60s. It was a good time for the film industry and they made lots of good pictures in different genres. As for the very old pictures, I love to see again and again some classics from Chaplin`s films to Casablanca and Gone with the wind.

I do watch movie, more lately because my son told me about a movie channel i can get & didn't know it. I love mysteries to watch & read. I never go to the cinema. Last time i did which has been years ago i was very disappointed in the movie i wanted to see. It's also very expensive around here to go. I have to have popcorn when i go to the movies & that's outrageously priced to so i'll just stay home & watch tv, lol.

Some old movies can be seen in youtube, but I prefer other ways. I don`t like to see movies on my computer as the screen is too small.

Some movies are more dramatic in black and white. Try Casablanca or The great dictator.

I don't think my present internet connection would allow me to watch movie online even if I want to. That would probably eat most of my time. Well, I already found a good internet provider and hopefully I would have a permanent connection as soon as as possible.
Maybe I can try watching movie online too.
Have a wonderful day marguicha!

I have seen all those several times on TV too. I must confess that Pretty Woman is my favorite with the Cnderella fairytale background. I also love Bridget Jones` diary and other films that are popular on TV.

A agree with you about the computer. My sister gave me this laptop so that I could watch movies online, but the screen is much too small. I would be very happy though if someone tsught me to download movies to the laptop, place them on DVDs and see them later on TV. I love Gone with the wind and I have seen it several times along the years.
