You can do a lot of things to support your child's love of cooking. You can get her cookbooks that is for children. A apron that's fitting for a child with her name on it. Once you get the cookbook, let her go in the kitchen and do some of the recipes with your supervision of course. Almost forgot, a chef's hat to go along with the apron. Then let her have fun, because a true chef loves to get into a kitchen and make magic.

Your very welcome. I'm also happy to know that your daughter liked my ideas. I'm married to a chef and I'm learning to cook myself. I don't enjoy it as much as he does. It is nice to hear your family tell you that the meal you prepared is awesome. I hope your daughter prepares many delicious foods over the years. Also thank you for best response.

Does she just want to cook or does she want to be a chef? There is a difference, being a chef is very hard work. At her age, simply allow her to cook more and let her watch more cooking shows if she likes them, but i won't worry about supporting her dream to become a chef until she is older, by then she may have new interests and changed her mind.

All you have to do is support your daughter, and you have enough time to prepare financially because she is only 10yrs old. I love to cook also, when i was in high school i want to take up Culinary Arts in College, but my parents don't like it, i'm force to take Bachelor of Science in Commerce, until now i do regret why i don't insist that time, but good thing i still do cooking until now, i love to make some experiments in cooking.

All of my children can cook, and love to watch the videos online of the cooks. I have one child who would like to become a cook, and a second one who hasn't made her mind up yet.

This is great thing your daughter, want to do what ever she want to learn, as far as cooking you should support her in that, if she wants to go to cooking school you should send her there, that way she will know more and more, about cooking and the more she knows, the better of a cook she will become.

Whatever our children want, we should be supportive as parent. My 11 year old child also loves to cook and she also wants to be a chef someday. She always helps me in the kitchen and I show her that I appreciate her so much. She does the cooking sometimes but there is always limits that I set. I do not allow her to do the frying because I don't want her to meet accidents. Little help like preparing the ingredients are considered great already.

Chef is good profession now a day. Keep her interest alive and admit her in a good catering institute when she becomes entitled for it.

Yes of course. One of my aunts can really cook and people know that she can cook they even own a small food shop. When I am in college and we have lessons in cooking, I realized since then that I have passion for cooking. People should follow their passion because they will be more successful if they follow it.

Does she cook well? If she does have such a talent to be a cook, then you should let her learn more about cooking. She needs some guides from professional cookers. You can also ask these TV program, if they can let your daughter to show her skills on some programs. The most important thing, keep practice. Practice makes perfect. Also, encouraging her as often as possible, which is a good motivation.
