The money I earned was not enough for me either, but it was a start and soon I made very good dough. I worked as a legal secretary on King Street in Toronto and by the time I was 25 was making really good money. The work was good and so was the pay. My writing books and things started during this period when I needed more of a creative outlet. This led to writing ten books and a film.

Well as u mentioned, people start earning at different ages, in fact nowadays people have started earning at an early age thanks to the online activities. Well i started earning very recently when i joined a magazine company and the feeling of earning is something different that cannot be expressed in words.

Hello there! I started earning money when I was 19, right after college graduation. I'm a bit early since I was able to finish my course in three years due to the university's trimestral system. I worked for my dad for a while before I decided to apply in different companies. And I have been working ever since :)

at 19, i didn't know how to earn money at all, i was still in univ. But i think earning money early or late is not really important, the important thing is how we can manage money well...

The university I went to has a trimestral system that's why I finished early :) But I agree with you, it is how well we manage the money. Since I was too young at that time, I got too excited and spend my money on unnecessary things. I barely had any savings back then :)

I graduated from high school in 1952 at age 17. At that time in the USA, college for girls was was considered optional, especially if the parents were not well off financially. I took my high school diploma and went to the city to look for work. Finding a job for a country girl with no experience except farm work was not easy. I was lucky to be able to live with my mother's sister and her family the first few weeks until I found a job that paid enough for me to afford to get my own apartment.

I got married very young and my husband was a good provider. So I stayed at home part time and studied the rest of the day. I was 18 when I got married and he was 24 and already making enough money to have a good living.

I got my first income from a part-time job as a math tutor When I was 22 years old in university. I taught a 14-year-old girl of grades nine how to learn math. The job didn't pay much, but it filled my spare time life. And what made me gratified is that the girl's exam results promoted very fast with my help, and finally entered a senior high school better than she had expected. I have my first formal job when I was 25, after my graduation. And it is not bad!

Well, I do my own earning when I was 19 years old. I work that early because it was so early also when I graduated in college. That time, I was so eager to look for a job because I'm so excited to produce money on my own.

My first job was at 18 in high school. It wasn't so much that we had to earn a living, but our parents wanted us to learn responsibility. They never took any money from me until later on when I got my nurses aide certification. Then they took out some rent, but the rest was mine.

I started early in life making money. I was earning money as a papergirl who delivered the papers. From there I went to a counselor to a waitress. My first big job though where I was working in the City was at the age of 19 working for a Business Library. It was interesting job helping men look for information that they would need for their reports.

I started at an early age. Or maybe 17 is not early since some may started earning earlier than 17 yrs old. After I finished highschool I started working in a publication while studying. At the same time I also worked part time as a sales representative in one of my aunt's souvenir shop.

I finished high school, went to a girls-only college to learn typing, and office work, and started my first job at the age of 18 after being hired as a secretary. I stayed a few years at this job and then at 21 left to live in Canada where I was hired on the first day I arrived. I came from South Africa and stayed until Mandela was freed... then came back to S.A. I am currently living in New Jersey and want to move to L.A..... but will have to see I came to NJ for my grandchildren.
