I usually fall asleep struggling to write or racking my brains for words. Now, I can't sleep. Of course, my deadline is just hours away, but it seems I'm more motivated this time to tackle my writing problems head-on. I'm more tenacious.
Whatever the reason, I'm now writing more than I play FarmVille. And it seems my Google account is the new Facebook. I'm practically logged in the entire day. Anyway, I'll give it another week if the trend continues.

I think you are better off not playing farmville so you can focus on your writing more.

Personally, I found that, as writing is a work of art, it can not be rushed or forced or the words that do come out are as hollow and empty as it is with any form of art. Rush a dish, and it tastes horrible, rush a song, and it sounds horrible and lacking harmony. What helps me when I am at a stand still, is listening to soothing music, preferable something along the lines of what I am trying to express in my writing. Of course a dictionary and thesaurus also helps at times as well. I hope that helps and happy writing.

I think deadlines encourage us to move forward which is what it seems is happening here. The risk is they can also inhibit our creativeness but only if we let them do so.
So tell me more about what this deadline is all about? Someone please educate me in the world of Facebook because it is not something I am familiar with. If strength comes from motivation, I am all ears but if you say it about $oney then I will ask you to produce this proof. On the other hand if you say it is like a challenge then I am interested to see how this plays out!

Interesting! Writing is an art. I love writing also and the environment in which you write often has an impact on the content of your writing for it guides your mood, attention and feelings. I would suggest you opt for an open, calm and green place to try exerse your writing skills. It should work.
