Hello friends, I know there is already mess going on regarding articles posted about Bubblews here on Mylot. But I am posting this one because it is very important for many of us (I guess) to have the answer for the following :-
Can we post the same article on both the sites i.e. Bubblews & Mylot??
Please friends, this is really required from my end to be sure before posting anything anywhere. Please help....

Since myLot is a discussion site, logically speaking there is no purpose in posting articles here. They're not discussions and, therefore, are ripe for removal by Admin.

Are you saying that article writing is like using your heart but discussion are like looking for the left side of your brain?
I agree, if no participation or discussion take place there is no logical advantage for the submitter. Besides discussions can spring new life into articles written?

The difference between an 'article' and a 'discussion topic', as I think Spike intends to point out, is that an article usually merely states facts, whereas a discussion topic actively invites responses.
One may be very like the other and, indeed, something which is legitimately a 'discussion topic' might well be posted on an article posting site, though it would be sensible if the site allowed comments to be posted (as Bubblews does, of course).

What I've done personally up to now is put a few articles into bubbles but for some reason I am not sure of yet, not used the same material here. I am not at this time very interested in comments and the like at Bubblews. The way I look at it is this way.
If I want to "talk" (discuss) about something with someone here in Mylot I just start afresh because for me a discussion is more like a conversation and it is just as easy to start new. Although it does might make sense to copy and paste for volume sake (what advantage though?), I too think it defeats the purpose because for some reason it doesn't come across the same way?
On the other hand articles here are not so popular maybe?
Anyway, I don't use the same stuff.

MyLot do not seem to mind if a discussion posted here is also published on Bubblews by the same person. In fact, anything published in MyLot becomes and remains the copyright of the author and they may do what they wish with it.
The rules of Bubblews, likewise, insist that what is published there is the rightful property of the author, so it would have to be evident, at least, that what you publish in Bubblews is rightfully yours.
You have to realise that MyLot is a DISCUSSION site, whereas Bubblews is much more of an 'article posting' site, so that material which may be suitable for one site may not be appropriate for the other, though a good quality response to a MyLot discussion might well be posted as an article in Bubblews with a minimum of rewriting.
If you intend posting the same material on both sites, you will probably find it most convenient to post it on MyLot first because you will not be able to copy and paste something in MyLot until you have a User Rating of 500. It should also be quite clear to the moderators of Bubblews that you are the author. If you use the same username in MyLot and Bubblews, for example, it will probably be to your advantage.
On the whole, it would be advisable to keep your postings on the two sites separate because of the differences between the nature of the sites and because both sites have strict rules about plagiarism.

owlwings great response.
Especially the first paragraph cleared a question i had. But i suspected it was like you said it is.
Basically i also might eventually take for example something i posted on mylot in a discussion somewhere and change it a little for the grammar and the meaning and post it on Bubblews, or some other similar site.
But tell me, if the names are differend between the two sites. Would a person be approached by the other site to answer why his content also appears elsewhere or would it be a more kill first, ask no questions kind of deal? :P
I guess mylot wouldnt care since we do retain the rights to what we post here...?

I have certainly seen some things posted in MyLot which had been previously published elsewhere, probably by the same person, removed as 'plagiarism'. MyLot generally don't ask before removing something - the Terms state that they reserve the right to do so for any reason and without notification. I don't suppose that the Admins of Bubblews are any different and that they would be unlikely to bother to check with the person concerned before removing articles which appear to be copied from elsewhere. That is why I would advise anyone to steer clear of re-posting material, whether it is clearly their own or not.

I've had a similar discussion as it was a question on my mind as well. My conclusion is we can do as we choose since it is our work but it does not make sense only to copy and paste for the sake of profit.
Strangely enough although I can openly say I have several articles in bubblews my main concern is and may always be Mylot. I really treat the two sites very differently. Certainly, there is a difference between the two sites and that difference I think has been pointed out above.

I have registered on Bubblews, didnt post anything yet though.
What i wanted to say reading your reply, it's true i will/do also treat both sites differently.
One is like a friend, close to home sort of thing. That one is mylot.
The other is/will be mostly work.
I think that is what you are saying also. :)

On what I understand, one of the rules in bubblews is you can only post your own made article. It was not said that you can't re-post it to other site. But to make sure, I don't re-post my articles on mylot. Its hard to take the risk, because you need $25 on bubblews to redeem your earnings. Its up to you if you still want to risk it.
