I had bromhidrosis befre, even I didn't feel it, but my mom told me I am smelly when I was sweaty. I was afraid it affect my job and relationship with other people, so I decided to have a surgery last year. Before the surgery, even though I knew it was hurt, but I will take an pain killer injection, and I though I can stand it. So I slept very well so that the nurse had to wake me up to go into the operation room.
The truth proved that I was wrong, took that pain killer injection was killing me! I couldn't stop crying during the whole inject process. When the doctor cut my skin and flash, I am really painful, they gave me more pain killer injection untill reach the maximun limitation. But everynow and then I still hurt. At that time, I wished they punched my head heavily and make me just faint. The whole surgery last about 3 hours, I was awake all the time, sometimes I screamed loudly when I can't stand painful feeling.
The next half of month, I was in pain too, the pain made me regret to have that surgery. Now think of these days, I still remember that hurt.
Did you ever have a surgery before, what's yor feeling about it?

Yes, in 1973 I had surgery on my leg. I had joined the track team and while running I started to feel pain right above the knee. Even walking up and down the steps it would hurt. The doctors found that I had a tumor there. So the operation was conducted and the tumor removed. Thank God it was benign. I then had to spend eleven days in the hospital learning to walk on that leg again. I was out of school for two months in my senior year. My experience while in the hospital was good the doctors and nurses treated me really nice. However, I really hate hospitals and don't want to ever be operated on again if I can help it.

Sorry that you went through what you did but there is a procedure that they do where you get an injection of botox in your armpit to prevent you from sweating wouldn't that have been easier for you then a full blown operation.

In 1998, I had a total hysterectomy as I had fibroids so bad, that i kept clotting, so the doctor said that it would be best to have the surgery. I have never regretted having it, as it got rid of my menstrual cycle, at the age of 50. A few years later, I had arthroscopic surgery on my knee, as the knee cap was out of place, and it needed to be put back, as my knee would pop when I walked. that happened when I was jumping rope to get some exercise, and when I landed, I landed wrong, and my knee cap moved from side to side. boy idd it hurt too. i didn't do anything about it at first, but it got gradually worse, and it got tot he point, I could hardly walk, so my husband at that time, said that i had better go the knee surgeon and se what needed to be done. when he suggested surgery, we were both in favor of it, as it would help me to walk better after it had healed. I do have a scar there, and I will have that for the rest of my life, no matter ho9w long that is. I never thought I would ever have surgery, but now that I have, it really wasn't all that bad, and was the best thing I could have done at the time. Take care, and have a good day.

I used deodorant before, but the effect was't very well. I don't want people around me keep away from me because of that problem.

That experience was very horrible, I don't want to go through anymore. I am glad that you met a nice doctor, and wish you in good health!
