Has facebook become a gossip site?

I got tired of face book, I changed my page because, I had family member cussing on my page, so I just took all family members off, my facebook page now I have nothing on my facebook page as of right now, and I might not add, any thing on my facebook page.

I agree on gossiping on FB because my girl friends and I even made a group chat for our own gossiping. But being nosy with other people is just showing curiosity. Because they have that I-think-I-know-you instinct, they would look up at your account and try to get as much information to prove "I know you". And because SNS's main purpose is to get connected, you need to know the information before you get connected with the person. But if you feel uncomfortable with other people's looking at your info or account, feel free to change the privacy settings. I am happy with my settings now because I don't get a lot of "unknown" requests. Good luck on FB! ;)
