Boston Marathon today...

Every Patriots Day (today) we have a major marathon with people from around the world running. Today there were two bombs planted at the finish line. A lot of people were hurt and injured and I think they said one person died. One of the victims was a 3 year old sitting in the grandstand waiting for a family member to finish the marathon. It's chaos in Boston and I live just outside of Boston and I'm really scared! My kids keep calling me to make sure I'm ok...I don't know why because it's nowhere near me but I appreciate them worrying about me. The president is going to be on tv to talk about it and he offered his assistance in helping Boston find out who is responsible for this.

I was just reading this, and watching video of the blast. This is terrible! I don't know why some people have so much hatred in them to cause harm to other people. Yes, they might differ in policies or point of views (or even religion), but it is never right to take other people's lives. And it is not right to sensationalize it by doing it in such a major event. I hope these terrorists get caught!

Did that three year old die? I think it could be either Muslim terrorists or evil people in the government using that to make people more dependent or to take your rights away. Anyway I hope they find the real ones who did it and not whom they want to put the blame on.

So sad for the family. I have a feeling that the mother and the little girl might die. I really hate it when those evil terrorists kill so many innocent people. And really I was not even thinking of going to the Dad's face book and bugging him or writing an email or even a phone call to him. I do hope they get who did this and all involved in the bombing are put in jail or executed, the real villains, not what the media says. I think the ones who are behind it are using it to take away America's freedom.

Hi ctryhnny, How terrible for something like this to have happened at such a major event. Here in Canada I have been watching it unfold on TV. I'm happy that you are fine and it's always good that children call their parents at such a time, even if you are not in any danger. This goes to show that anything can happen anywhere, anytime, and it's really terrible. Blessings.

Yes, they had to cancel important hockey and basketball games yesterday ruining even more for the people of Boston. I think I heard that London, England is cancelling their marathon too.

I did think of you when I heard about this but of course, knew you wouldn't be on the sidelines there. I watched it for 2 hours yesterday and was in shock. Now we just have to find out who did it and why. It's nothing but pure terror. Glad to hear your kids contacted you...see, they do care.

I think as long as the US keeps doing what they do it will never stop or it will stop with a bad ending.

We had the London Marathon today, and I heard on the radio, that the runners were given black armbands to support the atrocity in Boston. Since this discussion was started there has been more developments, but you wonder, what makes someone do this, as always innocent people are killed. It's frighteningly becoming all too frequent.

What is the world coming too and why does people have to be so cruel? My heart is aching over this. Every day I read about someone being killed or horrible things like this bombing. My prayers are with all that way there, the injured and family and friends.
