OK so this time last year I started picking up money on the street and putting it away in a seperate piggy bank to see how much I could find in a year. I did pretty well I think, my aim was to find $50, Ill let you know how much I found in just a moment. First I got to tell you about my last day of finding money. So I went out with my mum to the shopping centre and we went to the supermarket, we were in the cold section near the cheese. As we were walking past I stopped my mum and told her to look under the cheese. There was a $5 note! Who in the hell leaves money in the cold section with the cheese?!?! In any case it was the best find of the year just purely from where I found it. That day I found a total of $5.20 OK now on to the totals for the year. It's pretty impresive how much I found and how much people drop and don't even notice or pick up. $5 = 4 $2 = 12 $1 = 4 50c = 4 20c = 8 10c = 29 5c = 89 Total = $58.95 Also my mum found a $10 and a $5 already this year as well. She's a lucky one! So that's it that was my experiment so I now have almost $60 sitting in my piggy bank thanks to the generous people who dropped all their money, may they keep dropping it for years to come

Oh my goodness! This sounds really crazy... How did you even come up with this idea of picking up money from the streets? Did nobody ever notice you doing this? If they did, what was your reaction to it? Btw what have you planned to do with the money you received from those generous people? I am really excited to know about your plans to use that money...

When I shared this discussion with my mom, she couldn't help laughing. She was greatly surprised and was wondering how could someone even think of collecting money this way.... You are really crazy.... I wish you earn so much money through a job that one day you become a generous person for someone who is looking for money on streets. And when you see that, may you have a smile on your face and a recollection of sweet memories of your past.

Well I guess when you become unemployed money is money. I just started picking it up and taking more notice of my surounding. I don't think people noticed and if they did who cares, they probably don't even rememebr me doing it now anyway Well I'm going overseas soon so this is some extra spending money now. May not be too much but it's more than what I would have had

Oh my God. This sounds really interesting and fun. Maybe I should give it a try. Also, well done. That's a good amount of money. Keep searching. Good luck.

Yeah I mean seriously people do drop money, might depend on where you are as well. I'll tell you the other day when I went out shopping I heard someone drop money. I saw the money from metres away but we were waling in the opposite direction to it so I didn't bother walking back for it. Then later when we walked back the money was still there, so many people were just walking over it (we were in a shopping centre so lots of people) and there was 2-3 people that were handing out flyers right there and they didn't even see it! So I ended up picking it up after all Ryanong about my above story it's all about being aware of where you are walking

hihi, that's nice when you can pick up some money on streets, $58.95 a year is a good amount, right?. Sometime i get money on street too, normally 1 usd or 5 usd. If i don't remember wrong, last year, i got around 30 usd on streets also. we don't need to look at on the street anytime but sometime we can catch money on there...that's so nice!!!!

Nice work. Last time I was in the US I found $10 at Disneyland See I do look around me all the time when I'm out and pay attention that's how I find it I think. I also think positive about it and say that I always find money and it seems to wrk. I should say I always find $50 notes in the street and maybe I will

I really feel that you are enjoying very much what you are doing :) It seems like treasure-hunting for you everyday! I commend you for having this idea and for actually doing it. Those little amounts will surely add to something big in the future and the good thing about it is, you have them for free!

Yeah it is fun when I go out and find money especially the big ones. I'm still waiting for a nice $50 note to show up. The best I've done is finding a $20 which was cool

hahaha I did this too, when I noticed that I always see coins in the street. i even note where and when I found it. but then I have seen a part of a movie when the character found a penny which with the tail showing, she did not pick it up instead she put the head on top.. then she said, the coin will not give her luck anyway because it was a tail so she put the head on top so that the next one who will find it will have the luck instead. AFter that, I don't pick the coin anymore (only the bill hahaha). instead I will check first if it is a tail or head. if it is a head I will keep it.. if not I will put it in reverse.

Haha I don't care which way it is I still pick it up. It's nonesense to me about the whole good and bad luck. You make your own luck as far as I'm concerned so it doesn't worry me

My son and I were going some where, and there were these 2 girls infront of us, and one of them were going in their pocket, and she dropped $20 and when me and my son came along, my son picked the $20 dollars up, and he kept it.

OK see I don't do that I find that very dishonest. If I see someone drop money I will pick it up and give it back. I only keep money when I don't know who dropped it. I've seen people drop notes before and chased them down the street to give it back. You should only keep it if you don't know who it belongs to

Awesome for you! I used to work at a laundromat. At the end of the night, I would run my fingers along the inside of the seal on the door and almost always found a few dollars in change that people had left in their pockets before doing their laundry. A little extra money is always fun!

Haha awesome! I went with my aunt to the laundromat and found money but couldn't get to it as it was in between 2 machines. Whoever owned the place didn't clean ther eat all it was filthy. But that's cool it's like a commission. Gotta love careless people like that
