Tuna head....

This afternoon my husband went to the supermarket and bought a tuna head but I do not know how to cook it. My mom told me that grilled tuna head is delicious and she's planning to cook tuna in sour soup too. Do you have some ideas what to do to this big tuna head? Thank you and have a great day!

Your mom is right about grilling it. My family loves grilled tuna especially the belly and the jaw portions. We just grill it and dip it in either soy sauce and lemon or melted butter and lemon juice. It's simple yet very yummy.

usually when we buy tuna head the best cook for this is the Sinigang or a soup with tamarind flavor,and the other one is the ginatang isda that usually have coconut milk in the soup,this tuna head is really delicious especially the part of the stomach.

Hi,
Next a tuna head comes along, put it directly into a pot of boiling water after cleaning, add spices like lemon grass, onions, ginger and garlic, season with salt and add chopped cabbage leaves right before serving. Makes a very refreshing soup for lunch or dinner.
