Our soul is like a sim card of our mobile phone

This sounds plausible. When I was going to Brahma Kumaris to attend the basic spiritual classes, the same logic was explained. If someone believe in re-birth and Karma, then this definitely makes sense as it simply follows action-reaction principle. But somehow it defines also a guide for morality as we become conscious that if we do this, that will happen and therefore start to regulate our thought, word and action.

What if anyone decides to not only change to a new mobile phone, but a new SIM card as well? Does it mean that the person is going to live a completely new life right from the beginning? Many people do not like what they are having now and are always thinking of ways how to get out from the loop. Is there a way? I think that there is. It is all in your mind. If you think you can, you can. You are who you want to be. You make the decision.

I am beginning to wonder that in this life I am paying back the huge amount of bad karma I must have had in my previous life, hopefully in my next life it will be a better lot. It would be nice to be able to replace your current sim card if it's proving to be faulty and when you feel life is against you. Do we have to spend our entire life paying back the karma for our previous life.

The problem with karma is that problem of human spirit not learning. A bad person with bad evil action will have bad karma, and he will come back. Then he choose to do bad again receive bad karma, these bad karma will continue also to influence other people to suffer along and end up doing bad things and end up with bad karma too. Karma basically mean endless suffering. Because the human spirit sucks in karma.

I think in our present life if we make all people happy mingling with each other without considering the ego then karma that word cannot be much used. If all people are good then there is no possibility for karma. Everybody will do good things and become the child of god. In my point of view the karma will be destroyed when one person left his ego and strive for the society he will get the right direction in his life.

your idea is very new and interesting.and you are right.your body, beautiful or ugly ,is just a shell.your soul which stores your all memories is really important thing.when you are old or physically disabled,fourtunately you have soul to bring yourself back.

I like this analogy to the SIM card. As a Zen practitioner, I tend to work alone most of the time. It is said that when the student is ready the master will appear, and I see that we are always ready as masters come in different forms. An insect could teach us something at one moment, and a rock at another moment, then we would move on and something else would appear. We may or may not like the lesson that we get in life, but if we were to know them in advance then we could avoid them, and not learn anything, or grow spiritually. A peaceful life? Many people seek it and never seem to find it. If they are seeking it, then it would mean that they are not peaceful right now. And right now is the only moment we have! So peace is there. Peace is there in acceptance and not there in resistance. _Derek

Hahaha, it is quite interesting the way you put it. Sim cards are our memory, so we should take good care of it. To ensure we put in good input. Good input and data helps enriching our lives. We really need God guidance in our lives.

There are two ways of looking at this, one is that really all the good and bad deeds we have done in this life will effect our next life.Second way to look at it is that may be the religious books teach this just to inspire us not to do bad things in life ,in fear that we have to suffer for those in lives to come.Best wishes.

Hi !! I agree with you , whatever we do at present it would always bounce back to us. If we do good then expect good things to come in the future but if you do bad then you'll reap nothing but all negatives in life. Let us be afraid to invest in garbage things because for sure they will go back us.
