What is Evil?

I think evil is our negative thoughts, bad words, wrong feelings, jealousy, dirt, and whatever we call it bad or wrong..
what is you idea about what evil is?

We already have definitions for evil things and good things. When we all like something and feel/do/act good, it can be always good for many people except few (evel) and other other way too. Depend on situaiton a good person also become evil, with negative thoughts, bad words, wrong feelings, jealousy, dirt etc. To a certain extent, our circumstances may lead to such feelings and for this, we cannot blame ourselves.
When we are watching a nice movie on TV and at a nice scene, the power supply goes of, - oh! we suddently get irritated, depend on the persons mood, sometime they way bad words and many more.
So, to a certain extent, we are forced to do this way or become in such a situation mainly due to some other reasons and if everything moves smoothly, we will be good than being dirt or evil.

Ok, Evil - just like 2 sides of the coin, every basic thing are having a 50:50 ratio with main aspects. Good/Bad, true/false, light/dark, white/black and the like. So, if we analyse our life with this principle, and if we deside where we ant to be live with, and work for the same. Be with truth, white, light, good etc, we will get a better feling than being with the other side. Still, there are people who go for the eveil side as well. They find some kind of joy or pleasure on them. However, people in majority is prefer to be the ratio with 50;50 as our life is designed in such a way.
However, it is our choice to be where we want to be and what we need to be.

Hi,
you are right. Evil means everything bad like negative thoughts, bad words, actions etc. Bad people always like to do evil things which are harmful to mankind. Some people do evil things because of jealousy, hatred, selfishness, greed, lust etc. For earning quick money many people do evil things.

well, ignorance is base of all doing worngs for human being. whatever I think I see base of all jealousy, hatred and selfishness is just our ignorance so for me ignorance is the worst evil and we should fight with it by study and increasing knowledge of life and humanity. that is the only way that we can win.

From the spiritual point of view, evil is anything that is contrary or in violation to the will of God (i.e. laws and commandments).
