i appreciate that our bosses are making these efforts to reach out and listen to us. we had and open forum recently where we can freely discuss any issues or problems in the office. many gave comments and opinions from work stations &eqipment, food service, employee-employer relations, down to the toilet room that does not have tissue and all other things about our company. its all been discussed. our bosses closely listened and took notes saying they will look into it all. they did not promise that it will all be resolved urgently but i appreciate the fact that they are listening. do you have this in your company too? How do you feel about it?

sometimes it is scary... this bull session or focus group discussion.... it is scary specially if the boss will be offended and take it personally instead of professionally.. hope that this will end well.

That's true. That's why I have to be really extra careful with my words. Haha

Having a venue for things like this is one of the important factors to consider in any organization. It is necessary that the employer know what the employees feel or what needed in such a way that they could address any problem at the start. Have a great day!

You're right. It helps us identify issues that need to be resolved and it promotes openness and good relationship in the long run. Thanks!

Such forum is good. And it helps to foster a closer employee-employer relationship. However, we do not have forum like this before. Instead, we will have to go through the department head if there is any problems that needs to be fixed .

Ahh.. I see. Thanks for commenting. We actually still have that approach as I notice. We are free to come by our HR department if we have any concerns that need their attention.
