chika.com gives a big help for me as i keep on sending txt msgs to my loved ones in the philippines. i downloaded this service immediately as i got here in US.

There are lots of sites that offer free SMS messages from a computer to cellular phone. Try to visit, www.sms.ac or www.chikka.com. Surely, you will be surprise of the freebies.

in chikka there is only 10 point credit so you are blocked after 10 sms if no one reply your sms

i agree..chikka.com is a good tool. you can also try ym for free and faster messaging. but the receiver should be logged on ym mobile for him/her to receive your message.

just create a rediff mail account
and
download the rediffbol it is rediff massenger
and send massage to the cellphone by adding the cellphone no in your friends list
you can do the same with yahoo massenger
but
i think rediff is best for it

if you have Yahoo mesenger, MSN messenger, or any of those things on your computer, you can send messages through it to your friend's cellphones. Thats how I did it before I got my cellphone.

try www.cbfsms.com they are pretty good although if you want an account then try www.free-txt.net both good sites however with the free-txt one you have to earn credits by joining online surveys and things which cost money

I use skype to send sms (text messages) and make phone calls from my computer. Text messages from the US to a UK mobile cost 10 cents. They may cost even less to an American phone. You can also call land-lines from your computer for very cheap rates and free to other skype users. Skype is downloaded from skype.com. It is a similar program to AIM or MSN. It also has a computer chat box like AIM and MSN with a very high quality webcam option.

I think you should buy a small device that will connect to your USB port on your computer, you can look for Mobile Phone shop for this device. this device will help you to communicate with your cellphone Via infrared or Bluetooth, and your cellphone should also support infrared or Bluetooth (or both)....cheers!!

I think and believe that you have to go the cell company's website to send a message from your computer to a cell phone. There is like an option in the website where you could do that. I have done it before, but it might cost you like $0.25 a message.
