After seeing the cnn video of the bombings in Boston yesterday.
Make me think... how something like that can make us think..
It can happen to all of us, and at anytime.
We cant avoid it...
Make sure you take car eof your loved one all the time.
You never know when a tragedy can strike us..

this is the reality of the world now..no one can be trusted. Not even humans. I always wonder why people opt for this..terrorism and all that..it hurts me to see people fade away into darkness..forever..

In 1996 we were in Manchester city centre - It was the summer and the European Football Championships. Germany were playing at Old Trafford - The home of Manchester United.
We were in the City centre because the was lovely sunny weather and fans from all over Europe - It was a carnival atmosphere.
Then the panic began as the police herded us away in different directions. We were told that there had been a telephone warning from the IRA - there was a bomb in the City.
30 minutes later a truck bomb devastated the City centre - We were all at a safe distance.
To be fair to the IRA - the usually warned us.
You are right Maria, you never know.

What you have said is so true. People need to remember to say I love you or I miss you. Little things like that means so much. One never knows what will happen.

Indeed, no one knows whats around the corner, one wise person once told me to live each day as if it's your last, it sounded morbid to me, but at hearing all these tragedies and the way the world is today, with all the wars etc, it's so true, we can't take life for granted, or our loves ones, we need to appreciate them and not take anything for granted, we may not be here tomorrow.

I can't help feeling quite disappointed with the attack on how people could conceive such a terrorizing deed to make some kind of statement. Just prove that we could not afford to let our guard down these days.
On the other end, I suppose we should all live each day to our fullest and not take our chances or love ones for granted. We need to be appreciative and cherish our love ones and moments.

that is why our family never hangs up the phone or leave each others company without saying i love you, take care, even if we are mad about something and proceed to slam down the phone or slam the door. a couple of times we have even forgotten and said it to someone we dont know that well. pretty dumb . lol. i think its because of my cousin who was argueing with her mom when her mom fell over with a heart attack. so sad

My family did that too and I thought it was an Irish thing. We children never left the house without kissing our parents and kissed them again on our return. But perhaps it was a thing that was done in WW11? As then they really did not know if they would ever see each other gain. Just a thought.....

It really is distressing to know no one is safe any where! I mean really! I would like to enter these people minds[ the ones who planted the bombs] and see what do they get out of it...killing people innocents or not is never going to fix any thing violence only breed violence our world is filled with violence since the start and sadly it will continue so as long as we have people like that!

When I first heard about it, it literally brought tears to my eyes, to think that innocent people were killed because of someone, who was bent on destroying as many as he or she could. It makes me sick to think that people have no respect for others lives, and will try to destroy us at any cost, and by whatever means necessary. I just hope that whoever did this, will be caught and given the maximum penalty. The fact that people were killed and others lost their limbs, is very sad, and it makes me sick. It is like the others havde said though, that what happened yesterday, could happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone. I will certainly treasure my family after this has happened. Take care, and have a very good day.

Unfortunately, this is what our world has come to. Although we've been more vigilant since 9/11, we've been reminded again to not let our guards down. We should always be aware about where we are, and the people around us. Granted that this wouldn't stop evil people from causing harm, but if we are more aware, then it would just make it more difficult for them.
And we should always know where the people close to our hearts are, almost all the time.

It hard to analysis and blame the events that happen in Boston. Basically the people who are responsible are bad evil people putting bom in a crowded place has only 1 purpose is to kill murder people. In his mind , he is evil and self delusion he is doing is correct . There is no demand or statement given. Basically there people are out for revenge and murder.

Yes, tragedies do make us realize how blessed we are, but they make us feel bad for the people lost in them. We're truly not safe anywhere anymore, and any day could always be our last.
