Where are all the guns that criminals use coming from?

Criminals are getting guns, and they are using them to kill other people. But, according to our current laws they shouldn't be able to get guns legally. New legislation on background checks COULD stop SOME of these guns, but it lets be honest if it stops some than it is a step in the right direction. But, no one is asking where these guns are coming from. If our laws aren't working, and no one wants to propose new ones than how do you stop the violence? The NRA has shown no desire to stop gun violence, and as a matter of fact they standing in the way of any bill that would curve gun violence. I am sure that it has NOTHING to do with the fact that the gun industry owns the NRA, and any effort to curve gun violence would hurt gun sales. So, how do you stop criminals from getting guns?
