Hi. The most easiest, simplest way to improve your English is buy reading.
Start by reading books with simple vocabulary. You'll find many at a book store. You can find them off the internet too. Once you have the resource, start reading. Inculcate the habit of reading for an hour or two everyday. You'll definitely get used to the language. This I can guarantee.
Once you feel that you're confident enough to move onto a book with a higher level of vocabulary than the previous one, then go right ahead.
This practice will bring about substantial change in your English.
Hope this helps. Cheers!

yes, you are on the right track by watching movies and try mimicking what the actors are saying in the movies. well, please select good quality movies, and not the trashy type of movies. then, there are many online activities where you can practice. it is a language, you simply need to practice. i wish you the best.

if you want to improve your english. i hope the following tips will help:
- read english books and watch english movies. if you encounter a word that you don't understand, look it up in the dictionary;
- watch the CNN and BBC so you can catch the accent;
- have conversations with native english speakers from time to time. if this is not possible, then talk to someone who speaks good english and ask that person to correct you when you make mistakes;
- learn one new word each day; use it in a sentence.
- think in english. this can be hard but it helps a lot.
i hope these will help you.

Always read, read, read.
Read good books that you are interested with so you won't get bored. You won't notice it but reading influences you on how you write properly. Also, if you're into studying, I suggest you study the subject verb agreement. It's all over the internet so you won't have a hard time finding a good website. It is effective to improve your English when talking with Americans because your brain tends to pick up and copy how they talk. As they say, experience is the best way to learn. Good luck!
