Super Summer Hot in the Philippines!

Philippines
April 16, 2013 8:15pm CST
Every year, summer in the Philippines just get hotter and hotter. With almost 38 degree celsius, taking a shower twice is not enough and air condition gives only a few relief since not all places have air condition. How do you keep yourself cool this summer?

Yes it is really hot here in the Philippines, I can't take the sun outside. We always stay at our room switch on the aircon and electric fan just to vanish the heat outside, but when it is already 5 pm we will go outside to feel the fresh air.

it's good to stay in door if you have no business outside because once you step out, you'll feel the warm sun burning your skin

We turn on the aircon during the hot hours of 10AM to 4PM. We then turn it off at night and just open our windows to let the cool air come in. I sometimes take a shower twice a day if I'm not able to take the heat. Our main problem is our car since it's parked outside without any cover or anything.

it's good that air is chill at night, here, the night air is still hot that even if you keep your windows open, you still need to put on your fan at number 3

That is really true, the heat is just too strong in the middle of the day. I am just lucky I am at work during the day and our office is fully airconditioned that we do not feel the heat of the day. Sometime when our aircon is down we can feel it but I guess it is much worse outside.

It's the hottest summer ever.. I can feel it even in our office.. I don't want to go swimming on the beach especially on our company summer outing. Oh no.. Keeping in areas where it's cold is the best way to get cool. Eating lots of water and drinking cold drinks. Oh,, and I love halo2x. Care for a treats??

There's a halo halo store here in our place and it's a blockbuster all the time. Little guilty pleasure during summer

well, we all have to drink water and take a bath or shower more than twice then you will be just fine. it's never been easy for the last few days and sometimes we just have to put up with it. there's always a way and some of my family members have taught me a way to cool ourselves here. before we thought of buying air cooler, we successfully able to compromise and made an improvise cooler.

I drink lots and lots of water and even stay at the bathroom for as long as I can. It's good that you find a way to have an improvise air cooler

I don't have any choice but to always stay in the office. I don't like to go out because it's super hot outside. I just can't imagine how life will be after 10 years or so. What will be the weather after 10 years? Tsk tsk tsk. I hope scientists and researchers will find ways on how to control the weather.

I do stay at my workplace too even if I can get off work earlier I choose to stay because the sun outside is just too much for my skin. I do wish it would rain just to feel cool for a little while.

It is so very hot this summer. Even the coolers drink can't erase the hot bring by this season. In our backyard there are trees that could make our place lessen the heat of the sun. It is so nice to stay there most in the middle of the day.

Well, even in Italy (my country), in the summer it is very hot. The problem is that it is hard to sleep even when it seems that you miss the air you can breathe. I'm in my house I do not have air conditioning. In summer, however, whenever I leave the house when I get back is easier than often I take a shower in cold water. It gives me a sense of temperament and physical well-being. In the summer we often go to the beach. Unfortunately, the problem remains that when it's really hot in the months of July and August, even at home not being well. Maybe in the Philippines, is even hotter?

Yes. It's getting hotter and hotter here in the Philippines and one of my way to relieve a bit of it is to be in air conditioned room eating halo2. Sometimes, taking a cold shower would also help.

i agree with this. this year's summer is extra hot. even in early mornings you can already feel the heat. just like previous summers, eating halo-halo, drinking a lot of water and palamigs(juice) and spending time in malls keep the heat away. but the best is to go on swimming in beaches. and the best beach is in the north.

I am living in a rural area and luckily, we have trees outside our house to keep us cool and shade. That is aside from taking showers three to four times a day.

Yesterday was hot here. Our fans are working as early as 9am straight. However, I feel that there is air outside moving and so the sun was hot but there is actually wind breeze. The electric fans are all in number 3 settings. It was tough hope everyone will know how to fight the heat.

Yes, summer here in the Philippines is getting hotter and hotter. Every time I am home I keep my self near an electric fan so that it lessen the heat I am feeling. But most of the time I am outside the house and the feeling is like I am in hell. So hot!

Well, like what you do, i also take a bath 2 or even 3 times just to keep myself cool.. I also drink even more water now.. It is not very hot here in our part of the Philippines though, just 30-32 degrees Celsius,fortunately.. We just use the electric fan.
