Now my is having holidays and we are planning to cool places like Ooty or Munnar. But afraid of the fares, the fairs are very high and unable to reach them. It will effect to our budget. I am feeling what about the low level income people if they want to travel and visit places i think they can't. At least in the holidays Railways should give us some concession, offers for family package or group package etc., What do you say dear friends. Share with me.

Hi Jotomy Yes, these days trips and getting more and more costly. So if we can get some offers and cheap rates on these , then it would be great. Personally we love to go for trip with big group. So if we able to make big group then we go to any kind of place in some big car by sharing its petrol. Like that we can have cheap journey and we can also enjoy the journey by stopping in between the ways.

I see what you mean. With expenses mounting high each individual needs to plan holidays that would suit one's budget. Normally, concession forms are available to students but parents will not be given any forms. The best way to get it planned is keep saving a special amount every month that would accumulate over three years or so; Once in three years or four years would be affordable . Desires will have to be tamed according to capacity. Till then, vacation must be spent in indoor recreations; This is as far as my personal experience goes. I am grateful that I have a mindset that makes me plan only when I can afford something; if not, a distant yearning also does not enter my heart. I will be content with a library nearby; so does my child.

Hello Jotomy we use to travel out of holidays. The rates are lower when there is no holiday time. You get great discounts over common rates. Blessings Jotomy... dainy

Our family has not been able to travel since the summer when Paul was a baby because we just haven't had the money to be able to do it. Right now we are not able plan a vacation still because of financial difficulties. That said, I do think that one of the things that we can do to help with our ability to travel is to know that if there is somewhere that we want to visit, we need to think about it well in advance so that we are able to save the money that we need to make the trips that we would like to be able to take.

Everyone is out to make money. If they're not filling their trains, they will. But I never hear of empty trains in India.
