how important do you think the presence of your boss in the office?and why? it because here in my work we seldom feel the presence of our boss and another thing is we can not reach him every time we have something to tell to him or if he have something to approve,so for us here at work the presence of boss is very important especially those issues that needs his approval.have you experience this kind of scenario in your work?and what did you do?

Hi, You are right. The presence of boss is very important especially those issues that needs his approval. But sometimes the presence of boss is very irritating when he boss is very rude or arrogant. I am retired person. But my boss was very arrogant. So when he was not present I was always happy.

Hello roshigo. I have the same feeling as you do. Each day our immediate boss comes to check on us in the office to see if we are in the office or classroom and a record book is always in their hands for making notes about our presence in the school. We think it annoying. If it so happens we are not in the office, they will make notes without asking us where we are. So in this kind of sense, our immediate boss's coming is unwelcome to us.

I work in a school and in each section of department, we have leaders in charge of a different department. They can be called our immediate bosses. We usually deal with them, but if it is related to salary issues, we have to go our real boss for negotiation because other immediate bosses can not make any decisions on this salary issue. So it depends on what kind of scenario we meet. Take care.

Personally, I feel it all depends on what type of job it is, and is their a reason for the general manager or boss to be around. I know from time to time where I work our boss is not around unless it is to annoy. It would be nice if mine was more understanding with things of major importance but most of the time this is when more problems often ensue. So you are far from thinking this alone.

I feel that boss's presence is very important because he is the head. The Boss is the energy without whom, the employees will be like a sheep without the shepherd. However, sometimes it happens that the employees work very efficiently even without the presence of the boss. I feel that these are exceptional cases.

Sometimes the presence of the boss is good and sometimes not. This all depends on what kind of leadership the boss has. I think if the boss is too autocratic and yell every single hour, I believe she/he should not be around because it makes the work place hell. However, if she/he has a good leadership style, then it would be nice to have her around. For leaders who leave the office however, they should appoint one in the office to do their work in their behalf my thinking only!

I have experienced the same thing and it is disappointing in my part at first. But as time goes I started to get used to it and work independently. After all, his the boss. I can't force him to stay in his office.

My boss is not always physically present at the office. But he does delegate works and responsibilities to those who are present. The most important thing is to have the business running smoothly with or even without his presence.
