how to take backup of yahoo mail

It is very easy to take backup of gmail in outlook. But when we connect the settings regarding to yahoo as per sites advice nothing is happen. I want to take backup of my yahoo mail. If any body knows that work it out then tell me details step by step.

Try forwarding all mails to your gmail and backup !

why? is there no backup provision in yahoo.
