So many terrible drivers here in Perth

Sometimes it can be very scary here on Perth roads. I don't know why people find it so difficult to drive over here compared to other parts of the country. What annoys me most about drivers here is that when the traffic light turns green, that means GO! People tend to just sit there, dumb founded, as if they don't know what to do. It is even worse when it rains and the roads become slippery, there are just so many accidents.
What are the drivers like where you live? Are they crazy, a bit scary, do they drive as if they know what the road rules are?

Oh my god, that really sounds scary and i know for careful drivers like you it would be terrible to see such careless drivers who r not aware of the traffic rules and thus creating hindrance for others, people often forget the fact that driving is not an easy task and hence they have to be careful not only for themselves but also for others, the situation is even worse in my city.

I know, if only there was a little more thought and consideration for others whilst driving then there would be less accidents. I tend to drive as if everybody else is an idiot and are going to do something silly. That's when I do drive, I try not to go out unless I have to these days.
