Anyone have problems taking Neurontin?

I take Neurontin for nerve pain associated with spondylosis with compression on my spinal cord and nerve roots. Neurontin is the only medication that does not cause me severe stomach pain. My problem is that I don't make much urine when I take it. I hold fluid. I only lost a pound in 5 days because I don't pee much. I'm supposed to take it twice daily but I only take it once daily because I would swell worse if I took it twice.
Thoughts?

I guess that is the way it goes sometimes with taking meds. You have to weight the side effects with the help the medication is actually giving you.

I will just go back to taking it three times a week or at most, four times a week. Taking it every night is just too much on my system. I gained weight from fluid Retention. I have lost the fluid weight with just one day of not taking it. I weigh on Sunday mornings and I want an accurate weight. Therefore taking the medicine only four times per week gives me a more accurate weight.

Are you able to handle the pain okay with just four times a week?

I already take a water pill for blood pressure (hydrochlorithyazide 25 mg) and that doesn't help remove fluid but my bp is okay. I'm not sure if she would order LASIK or something.

I take Neurontin too but in different brand here in the Philippines. I'm taking 300 mg of it TWICE A WEEK only because I do not pee also, I am a dialysis patient for ten years now and i have a bone pain problem, back pain that never goes away, irritable bowel syndrome and restless legs syndrome, all was treated by gabapentin except the back pain. My sleep pattern was cured also.
