His 50th birthday is next year....

and I think we should plan something extra special. I started asking him what his ultimate birthday wish would be, but as usual, my boyfriend said I don't know. So I figured I'd leave it alone, I mean, his 50th birthday isn't until NEXT October, so I'd have time. We were watching one of his train DVDs when I thought I heard it: the railroad featured allowed people to drive a train. He's a HUGE train buff, and I quick grabbed my iPhone (our computer died) and did a Google search: Where can I drive a train?- and a place in Connecticut lets someone drive a steam locomotive several times a year!! I read what I could, then bookmarked the website. Of course, it got me thinking. He's a former tank driver in the US Army, and a veteran of Desert Storm. So I searched Where can I drive a tank?-and there is ONE place in the entire country. It's located in Michigan, quite further away, but it's year round. I read that website, and bookmarked it too. I was so excited! I asked Jim which he'd rather do for his birthday-drive a steam locomotive, or drive a British tank (the military does not allow civilians to buy their old equipment)? I think he was in shock that I even found these places, but in the end, he chose the train ride. What would be your ultimate milestone birthday celebration?
