I love not having to type

That is so so cool.I am going to check it out. I like to type but I sure would have liked to know about that when I had that nerve damage to my right hand. I typed with just my left hand but what a slow process it was.

Yes most computers are set up for disabled people who cannot use their hands to type. The virtual keyboard should have a microphone that you can speak to and type your words.

I'm using mine now. I just looked on my laptop and started to set up her voice recognition and she has to have a microphone with hers to set up. Mine doesn't need it it has an internal microphone already in it. I think all computers have the capacity to control your computer by voice. You may have to have an external microphone hooked up to it though. Like I said mine doesn't need it.

The TV is on low and it does not seem to bother it at all. I don't know what the name is. I did not download it into my computer. It already came with it. There is a microphone already in it.

My computer has voice recognition built into it so I don't have to buy a new program. I am using it now.

Yes I think that is it. You may need a microphone set in order to use it. I don't need a microphone because mine has built-in already.

Look in your program in your computer for voice recognition. There may be another name for it but I don't know what it is.

Look for virtual keyboard in your computer on the computer. Go to all programs and look for virtual keyboard. I am not sure where you will find it but most computers are set up for disabled people. If you were disabled and couldn't use your hands you could use your voice. There should be a microphone on your virtual keyboard that you can push and speak and then push again when you finish speaking and it will type what you said.

Thanks to you, PQ. Well, I tried go to "Control Panel and select Speech Recognition". And follow the configuration there. It is fun doing it at home where no one is around . Sometimes it pronounce my words wrongly . Perhaps I need to get use to the way the computer works, and go through the speech tutorial to train and learn how to use...

I have an iPad, it has this feature on the virtual keyboard. My laptop is ready for the graveyard. I make a portion of my living on my computer, so it's important that I have one I can depend on.

Hi there sweet Wolfie, I love it because my hands cramp up with arthritis. I also am a touch typist.

I don't have to use the keyboard to even add in punctuation, because I add it with with my voice. I just touch the microphone again and it types it automatically.

Maybe that is what it is called. Voiceover. I don't know what mine is called. It has a microphone on the virtual keyboard.

No, it most likely would not work for you then. You must be able to speak your words and let them be typed. I am having fun with it because my hands get stiff with arthritis sometimes when I type.

I know about those brands but this computer has it built and so with nothing extra that I have to pay for thank goodness.

It's already set up on my virtual keyboard. I think if you pull up a virtual keyboard on your computer, it will show a microphone on your virtual keyboard. Just tried it and see. I am using it now.

It's on my virtual keyboard. I don't need to type. The only time I need to type is if it does not understand me. Sometimes it writes the wrong word if it did not understand me.

I am learning how to speak to it where it understands me most of the time. Occasionally I still get a typo when I speak because it does not understand me.
