Our ancestors

Yesterday I met a friend who was researching about the reasons for insanity.His institution also support spiritual studies.He stated that the DNA of our previous ancestors in us clashes,then one gets insanity.He said people who believed in single entity of god with full faith and forgiveness of sin by The Almighty, their generation never had the problem of insanity or serious mental problems.He further described that the DNA factor can be termed as evil spirits of your ancestors and the evil minds of the previous generation manifest as insanity when it clashes with another opposing positive mind.Do you believe in it?I find it hard to believe as a believer in Jesus Christ for if we have faith in him,he will heal our mind from all evil thoughts.What is your Opinion?

it's not telling where insanity come from. as far as jesus christ healing anybody from their mental illness....well, there are lots of mentally ill christians.

When you say you are a Christian,it doesn't mean that you believe in Jesus Christ and his healing.You have to have the faith of a child in the healing power of Jesus, to heal and being a christian will not necessarily heal you.

Thanks for this discussion, yes i believe you in what you say, as per hindu faith we suffer because of past karma, disregard to elders and gods/goddesses, they have remedies basted on this.

This is actually the first time I have heard of it but I do believe that there is only one Almighty God like what Psalms 83:18 says (King James version of the bible) I also believe that everything that is bad does not came from God or they are not God's doings. Yes, it is the works of the evil.
