Why don’t you just ignore them?

Often we come across fanatics who say that we will go to hell if we do not believe in Jesus Christ as lord and savior. Some of us become angry or irritated with such people. We start debating with them. Why don’t we just ignore such people? It is useless to argue with them because fanatics are like rocks You cannot change them. The best thing is to stare right past them; behave as if they do not exist. Anyway, we are certain that there is no such thing as hell. So why take anybody who sends us to an imaginary place so seriously?

it is good to ignore them along with atheists who insist that God is not exist, and find the truth yourself, follow what you feel is the truth, provided that you do no harm, the Golden rule exist in all religions, do to others what you wish others to do with you, Will you be happy if someone come to you and said you will go to the hell? of course no, and thus you shouldn't tell any one something like this, if you follow the Golden rule.

Yes I would. It means that they can't change my mind, they have given up trying to convert me . I always say thank you and walk away.

Frederick42. It is important to place truth in the world. I have seen you do this. It isn't important to acquire the glory for changing someone to seeing the truth. Just point them in the right direction, When the time is right, they will discover the truth. They always think it was their idea all along so any glory means nothing. Point them in the right direct. Someone else might be the final teacher, however the lesson would never have been completed without all those teachers along the way. So why do it at all? Others in the world place truth in your life in other areas for you to discover. Part of the dynamics of God's system is all the interactions among all the diverse views of people. We all teach and learn from each other. We are all important. Of course, for some, they might not be teaching the lesson they think they are teaching. Case in point: Religion.

I Peter 3:15-16 - 15 "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." I realize a lot of us Christians do come across as pushy, obnoxious, insensitive fanatics instead of presenting the gospel of Christ in a gentle and respective way. Please forgive us. I think part of the reason we are as we are is because we know that what the Bible teaches is the truth, and we don't want to see anyone miss out on the chance to be eternally in heaven with God because they didn't know the truth or they refused to listen to the truth. I would encourage everyone to study the claims, both pro and con, that have been made about the Bible, but don't come to a conclusion about the Bible, itself, until you have studied it for yourself. Many skeptics have set out to destroy the Christian faith by attempting to prove that the Bible is false, but instead came to faith in Jesus Christ, and that's because the Bible truly is the Word of God.

I hope you don't think I'm out to destroy Christianity. Nothing will destroy it!Sending out the word is different from bullying someone. Many don't know the difference.

Why would you call some one names like fanatics because they have different views, or opinions than you do....and why would it make you angry or irritated.... This is a site for discussions, and debates..opinions...If you just ignore people with different opinions because you do not like what they say, or you disagree with them. What is that saying about the type of person you are.... Jesus Christ is a very real person and his message was very clear to the world. People tell you about Him and his word out of Love. So sorry Love makes you angry, or irritated. Hell is a very real place...And if you have to deny it or say it does not exist to get through this life that is your choice...Just because you say it is not a real place does not make it a true statement, it is only your own opinion. Your own truth..... If Hell does not exist, or is a imaginary place why does it upset you so much to hear about it....

This is a guess. maybe just maybe he is sick of being told he is going to a place he doesn't even believe in. That can get tire real; quick. Not every christian is as respectful as you. Some are bullies. Me? When they say I'm going to hell , I say why thank you and walk away.

sometimes its good to go in these imaginary places as we have a fear of something atleast, if we dont then many times we lendup doing wrong things thinking that there is nothing to fear of, if we have the fear then we stay back from doing wrong and ya we kinda do what is right.
