Washing dishes, ladles, spoons and forks is a daily home chore which is sometimes boresome. Since it must be done whether we like it or not, what must you do to make this kind of work less tiresome and interesting?

Perfectionist! It's a good asset that would serve as model to others. Thanks for responding.

May others follow your example. I really hate unwashed kitchen wares dumped in the wash basin.

Hi nicanorr! I can't rely on anybody aside from my husband to do this thing in our home, so I have to love it. This is not a big deal for me as we are only four people in our home. Have a nice day!

It's no wonder for a woman to love and hug kitchen washing chores day in day out, but can the better-half fetch in as substitute when she's away or not feeling well?

Hi there Nicanorr! Actually, washing the dishes is one of the chores that I like doing so I do not really have to do anything else to prevent getting bored while doing it. But, if needed, there are actually a lot of things that you can do while washing the dishes like have a conversation with anybody else who is in the kitchen, you can also listen to music while doing it like when doing any other chore.

Chatting with somebody or listening to music while doing the wash is an asset for a woman like you. You're great!

I don't really enjoy washing the dishes, but it is one of things that we have to do whether we like it or not so I try to combine it with things that I enjoy like music. In the past I had a tv in the kitchen and I usually listened to talk shows or documentaries while I washed the dishes. My husband and I don't have a tv in the kitchen so now I usually listen to music instead. When I listen to some of my favourite music it is much easier to get the chores done. Sometimes my husband and I wash the dishes together and that is more fun that doing it alone because we are able to chat while we wash the dishes. Fortunately we don't live in a large family so the number of dishes, glasses, cups etc that we have to wash are limited.

It's really great seeing you and your husband doing the washing chore. How often? Does your husband really enjoy the chore?

I laugh when I read your response. But I think not all house helpers do bad things. Tell her about souls not going to heaven for doing unlikely acts. Enjoy!

I keep trying to get my wife to swap our old two stage dish washer ( she washes and I dry) for a new younger model 9our eldest son washes and his brother dries) but she says it will probably be too expensive ( badly washed or broken dishes). It's always the same, you have a problem, find a solution but it's usually too pricey. Such is life.

Thanks for the response. I see that you're trying to inject something for the improvement of the activity.
